Final 6 at Turning Stone

SVB and CSI

One stroke,

CSI has an arrangement with SVB. He wins the tournament and he gets paid. JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE.

I guarantee you that if we were sponsoring Shane (or anyone else), we would be advertising that-not hiding it.

You're wondering if we are paying him cash is just spreading false rumors. Shane has done quite well in our events. He knows what is the best event for him to play. Why do you think he would have to be 'bribed' in order to show up.

CSI appreciates his loyalty to our events, thank you very much .......

Not in the least Shane is capable of going far in world events ,, as competitor I find it hard to understand , not like he's broke I'm sure he has some sponsorship better than lesser players you see there , just makes me wonder if he's getting some cash from CSI to play there instead , just does not make sence to me when your someone building a legecy world events is what people look at the end of the day

An impressive run, but not nearly as impressive as Wu's 55-22 record (71.4%) from the round of 32 on at the China Open against the best players in the world.

Yeah, but when you add in his two group-stage matches it's only 73-35 (68%). :)

Shaw would surely feature in the top 5 in the betting for any tournament just now, no matter who is in the field. Gotta be one of the most consistent performers over the past 18 months or so, and his best game is too much for pretty much anyone! He steamrolled Orcullo and Big Ko back to back in the world 9 ball last month, and only lost against the eventual winner.

Was he not defending champ at Turning Stone? Maybe that's why he played there rather than the China Open, who knows? Anyone suggesting he had no chance in China though, hasn't been following pool the last few years!

He would not be a betting top 5 in any 1st tier word event

Like Daz? They'd still represent their respective home countries. My personal pick is Oscar Dominguez to pick up where Shane left off. At least Oscar isn't afraid to get his ass handed to him.

Lol the guy misses one event and people got their panties in a bunch. Let that man breathe. If more Americans didn't go out to more major events, all this pressure wouldn't be on Shane and people wouldn't have binoculars on him 24/7, criticizing him every time he misses an event. I swear people got a magnifying glass on him waiting for him to slip up. This is not to Keith, but for the general Shane-haters.

I bet you if 10 Americans showed up to the China Open, no one would have a problem with Shane missing it, but we're just so used to him being there because he's the ONLY one going to these events. Oscar JUST started getting his feet wet, when he wins something other than a Mezz West State tour then we'll see. I do commend him for putting himself out there though, but that shouldn't discredit Shane because he always shows up.

Shaw can play with anybody any where. I don't think anybody would like playing him. He is very dangerous. May be not the best in the world, but definitely not far off.

and he made it to the quarter-finals of the W9BC on his first try (a field arguably more high class than the China open) so there's that

It's a good damn thing the AZB members on here don't have a thing to do with running, promoting, or deciding which tournaments players should or shouldn't play in....THANK YOU GOD, because if they were the deciding factor, pool would have completely died off a long time ago!!

Shaw's the FLAVOR

The new FLAVOR starts with SHA......
But it is not SHANE, it is now SHAW

He came , He Shaw, He conquered

:D

Love my money,, he's 15th ranked according to Fargo ,, I'm not nessasarly in agreement but no way he's a betting top 5 in any world event

His performance has moved him into 11th place. And there are only 13 people in the entire world right now with an 800 or higher FargoRate.

I think Darren got 90 k last yr

Who else is sponsoring Shane now that we know CSI is not? You must be able to answer that because "sure" and "wondering" have 2 different meanings.

Who knows and appearance money is not the same thing
I've known of some pro's getting that before and It would not surprise me if Shanes not one of them
