Just signed the contract today. Couldn't believe how long it took, but at least I won't have to deal with another one for 3 years. Of course I didn't get everything I wanted, but I'm satisfied especially concidering the economy.

One thing I'm especially happy about is I'm receiving added money and I'm not tied into any room rebates or I don't have to guarantee any minimums on consessions. I have to really thank all the people who showed last year, especially with the bad weather we all encountered.

I've got alot of ideas rolling around in my head, but I couldn't continue until now. I have to say I'm going to work very hard to make the DCC the best it can be. I realize the move from the Executive West was a big change and I'll have to adjust accordingly. I wish the new site was bigger, but I'm sure I can work on the quality of everyones pool experience. There are many positives. Security, parking, Food etc., but the most important one to me is the chance to use other Harrah's properties, many larger, and possibly have other events that with their added money make pool better. I am having conversations with other larger casinos. Hope it goes somewhere....Greg

Well it's about time :groucho:  Thanks Greg. In another thread a code was given for the tournament rate and we've been booking rooms for a couple weeks... me included, so I'll be making my first DCC trip. Cool!

I have the code as so1hder . Is that correct?

Regards, Jim

Schedule of events?

Hi Greg. Would you be able to tell us the schedule of the individual events yet? The DCC site still has the old 2009 dates. Thanks!

Jim,

It is SO1HDER.

Accu-Stats

Greg,
Will you be having Accu-Stats back this year? I wish all the major tournaments were archived by Accu-Stats. They are the only ones with the equipment, experience and expert commentary necessary to do a really classy job. Nothing against the live streaming we've all been enjoying lately, but when it comes to the really important matches, I'd rather have the quality productions and purchase the DVD's to watch over and over.

Dcc 2010

Hi Greg,

It's been my pleasure to have attended many DCC tournaments over the years, I want to wish you continued success in 2010. I am planning to attend the DCC this year, your tournament continues to be the best pool tournament of the year.

Look forward to seeing you at the DCC.

Good luck with this years tournament.

John

Well, Jim, you are in for a treat! First time Derby'er? Bring lots of vitamins, you will need it:)

Also, start taking anti-oxidants and immune buster from a month out - Seriously! You will thank me for it and will be able to transition into your normal life much smoothly without suffering from any illness.

Derby is 9 days long with 24 hour action and tournaments. My first trip to Derby was overwhelming and I literally stayed awake for days because there was always something great going on. There was mega action left and right of me, all night and all day.

When I got home, all that abuse caught up with me and I literally could not shake off a cold for a month, because my body was so worn out...

It's true, all the Derby'ers get sick right after.

OK, JimS that will be $50.00 Vcash:grin-square:

See you at Derby.

S.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll be looking forward to seeing you, and Mark, and dmgwalsh, and Greg and everybody at the DCC. I know I"m going to hate going to bed and despise coming back to my regular daily grind at the office. I'm pretty amped up about this thing.
