Finally pulled the trigger

BoSoxFanatic21

Ready for Baseball Season
...and bought my first major cue.

A McDermott M33A Classic, 19oz with an irish linen wrap
...plus a 2x2 case, and a Phenollic tip J/B cue.

I'm so excited.

Heres a plug for the guy who sold it to me: Joe N's Billiards in Illinois is incredible. Hes a super nice guy who managed to get me a great deal on this stuff, and even met me halfway on shipping. Phenominal transaction and assuming everything shipping wise goes smooth he has landed himself a customer for life.

I can't wait to get my hands on this baby...So excited!

Joe is a great guy and has some of the best prices around. I am happy for you.

Congratulations on your new McD. They play awesome. Unfortunately, I can see you are a Red Sox fan, so this will have to be the last conversation I have with you. J/k, but seriously, I'm a die hard Yankees fan. This may cause some problems come summer. May your aim stay true. Peace

MUNCIE, INDIANA??!! That's where my folks are at now!! (I finished up school in Carmel, then did a small stint at Ball State. Gotta love Testicle Tech!!!!!)

Congrats on your jump to the world of nice cues. McDermott cues really are great. For the money you spend, you get a ton of cue, and ya just can't beat the warranty!!

Treat it well, and it will do the same in return!!!

Next step is a custom...but you've got plenty of time for that. Learn how to play with your new cue, and see what you like and don't like. That makes it all the easier when it comes time to pull the trigger on a custom job.

Take care, and HAVE FUN!!

Congratulations

Totally can NOT go wrong with a McDermott. Quality production cue, good wood from Canada, and what a super warranty and maintence deal.

Go get em!

Congrats on your cue. Bought two from Joe myself. He got really upset when the his Bears lost the bowel. Ask him what he thinks of Rex Grossman.

McDermott's are great

Be sure to register it with them, so you can take advantage of their maintenace program. I've used it twice and it's like getting a new cue back.

Not a great picture, but here's my McDermott.

Joe N's Billiard's..............as in Nielsen's Billiard's?

If that is who you are in fact referring to, yes he has awesome prices, great service, etc. I've bought 3 cues (2 McDermotts) and a case from him in the past and have nothing but good reviews for him. Definitely can't go wrong with a McDermott cue. :D

Congratulations on your purchase. I own an M33B. It will last you a lifetime if you take care of it. You also can't beat the McD warranty. Like someone mentioned, be sure to register the cue so you can take advantage of the maintenance plan. The cue will come back better than new.

Here's to you running many racks with your new investment.

Oh yeah, go Sox!

Congrats on your purchase. I ordered an mg-34 with Joe last week, 130$ for a great cue, these are the lowest-end McDermotts available with the three-piece butt construction. My current one has a one-piece butt, anxious to find out if it plays any different.

Joe is without a doubt the best guy to deal with. I've known him for years and if there is ANYTHING I need that he can get, I go running to him. I think he ships faster than a roundhouse kick to the face from Chuck Norris, but nobody say that outloud....

I owned the unicore Mg05, and I have a tricore butt McDermott I shoot with now. If there is any difference at all, I found the tri to be a more solid feeling hit. There wasn't too much dicernable difference to my novice feel.

Did he do anything to the phenolic tip to make the chalk stick?

Congratulations on the new cue! I know how excited and happy you feel right now. Just last month I was on the same boat. :D Hope shipping doesn't get delayed on you.
