All of the rooms in the U.S. I've confirmed have snooker tables are listed here:

http://www.findsnooker.com/

Over the past two months I've contacted each of the listed rooms by phone or email to confirm the number and size of the table(s). In some cases I had to guess the size based on what I was told.

In the near future the website will include a list of rooms that have sold their snooker table(s) or closed.

If you know of a table not currently on the list, or if a correction needs to be made, please post a follow up in this thread...

... or PM me or send me an email via the website. Thanks again to everyone who has helped with suggestions or listings.

The info for the Q-Spot in Enid, OK is wrong. David has two ten foot snooker tables, we have a seven ball tourney using the big balls every Thursday....its a hoot and tough. Thanks.

That's just great thanks for taking the time to do this and adding us in. Regards

You're certainly welcome. I hope the listing helps send customers your way.

Thank you very much for that. I'll make the correction when I update the site this weekend.

Seven-ball on 10-footers sounds like a good time to me.

Awesome. Thanks.

You're welcome, TX Poolnut. Do you know drsnooker from the Houston area?

Map with U.S. snooker tables now online

The map of pool rooms with snooker tables is now available:

http://www.findsnooker.com/maps.html

I'll tweak the map format over time, and I'll continue to update the listings. Once I reach a few more sites by phone there will be 200 confirmed rooms with snooker tables.

Thanks again to everyone who has provided info about additional rooms.

Opies is on there! Has a good table, anyone passing through the Kirksville area should deffintley stop by and shoot a rack or two. Heck get ahold of me and I can go up there with you.

There is a nice Gandy 10x5 Black Formica Top Snooker Table in this room, specifically made for the Pocket Billiard game 'Golf', which is played on this table every day, all day by by a range of 20 or so regulars. The table was just redone with new diamond pro rail rubber, and 760 Simonis.

The pockets have been reduced to 2.625" from the standard 3.625", which makes the game of Golf on this snooker table LEGEND! You won't be firing any balls in those pockets. LAG UP FELLAS'! See ya there.

Rep to you brother. David, the Q-spot owner, really appreciated the fact that you did this and added the footnote about the Thurs. night tourney. Thanks.

You and he are certainly welcome. By consolidating and posting the info online I figure I'm returning the favor to the room owners who make it possible for us to play snooker (and pool and billiards, for that matter).

Thanks to n0risc for the additional listing and very precise information. I may have a chance to update the site again tomorrow.

To The Prodigy: maybe at some point I could include a list of AzB snooker players within an hour of each room. Hmm.

200 rooms

As of this evening there are 201 confirmed rooms in the U.S. with snooker tables.

The 200th confirmed room and its 10' table are found in the private home of AzB's own "100kbet".

Thanks as always to all AzB users who have contributed info to keep the list growing.

Over 300 snooker tables in the U.S.!

With the addition of the following, there are now listings for over 300 snooker tables in the U.S.:

rbelden (1 - 12') [private]
Springfield, MA

Champions Snooker (3 - 12')
Houston, TX

E1 Entertainment (8 - 12')
San Leandro, CA

Bob Jewett's post about three snooker tournaments in the San Francisco area clued me in to a room that just opened this year. E1 Entertainment has eight 12' tables. Wow.

References to snooker pop up twice in this month's issue of Billiards Digest:
  • "Stroke Fiddling" by Bob Jewett. An article about stroke mechanics.
  • "The Popular Game" by Mike Shamos. The history and popularity of snooker.

Thanks to everyone who has emailed me, sent PMs, or posted info about a snooker table for the list.

There was a 10' snooker table at Palace Billiards in Miami, FL, the only one I knew of at that time, but that closed about 1967. Sad. Not a single one now.

Kaz4 in Vegas just opened a few months ago. I have to get over there and play some snooker.

For the Broken Rack, in Emeryville, you listed it as formerly Chalkers. This is not correct. We were never associated with Chalkers or even located in the same building. Thanks

There's a new pool room in Columbia, S.C. called Stix that has a 5x10 Brunswick snooker table. Brand new rail rubber all around and freshly recovered. Their Facebook is Stix Columbia. Check them out.

Thanks for the correction. I'll update the site again later this week.

Thanks, Brain71. I'll check out Stix.
