I don’t like the purple 5. I don’t think it’ll ever stop being jarring for me. That said, the color balance of the set does contrast well on the gray cloth. I think I would’ve preferred the new purple on the 4 and just a more vibrant orange 5. And hopefully that would contrast just as beautifully. But I need to recognize what they were trying to accomplish because even in 2023 there are streams with tradition ball sets that I have trouble identifying some of the balls. So while I deep down hate this ball set, I’m just not willing to call it the worst thing in pool since anything. For me pool doesn’t have too many “worst things”. But I’m tempted to consider the jump stick. I’m miss the beauty of seeing more elegant kick shots attempted and perhaps failed.

OI believe the Aramith Black cue ball can be purchased separately.
I like it too.
I like a measle ball and the Black Aramith cue ball is whiter than the red measle ball.
 
Aramith Black set is the worst thing to happen to pool since......the elimination of nappy cloth and slow rails requiring a powerful stroke that was exciting to watch instead of watching guys binking and dinking balls around on a sheet of ice.

When I watch a match on TV I don’t even know which ball is next they messed up.
 
Got a local tournament that uses those tv balls, I never know what ball to get shape on unless I walk around the table to try and see numbers...when a player of 30+ years has trouble then how's a person who randomly sees bar pool gonna follow. Answer: they can't/wont
