Do you want me to start posting pictures off your Facebook page? Is that how this works?

If you really want to, you can. It's a picture of a cat I found on imgur, relax.

The real question is, why did you just offer for me to come see you in Texas? Have I ever talked to you before on azbilliards or in real life for that matter? Are you just defending your friend, making a strange joke or just dislike me for whatever reason and figured this was the perfect time to speak up?

No, he is not a friend. Do not know him at all. But from reading this thread i agree with his assessment, and it appears other may too.

Well, you're both welcome to come to New York City. I'll buy you a drink and we can hug it out.

Everybody wants a piece of you. Why, I don't know and I'm not going to read this whole thread to find out. I don't really care for the title of this thread. Pretty demeaning imo, based on what?

By the way hugfart, why didn't you come to my house when you were in L.A.? I want a rematch from the last ass whipping you gave me. I swear I can play better than the account I gave you before. I was helpless that day for some reason. I played bad there all week, not sure why. And I still won money gambling. Go figure.

P.S. I took Ronnie Wiseman as a partner playing 200 a game Banks. He Killed!

Eh, they got mad because I defended Finnegan and proved that the original poster was mistaken and didn't understand the rules.

I sent you a text and replied to you on Facebook the first few days I was in LA, didn't hear back so just went to House of Billiards. Hung out with OMGWTF and played the only guy there who would play for anything, Got lucky and won two sets :) Was in town for a week but received some bad news after that and wasn't in the mood to do anything the rest of the week. Next time I'm all yours bud!

Poor Finnegan, his name will forever be associated with "scumbag"
They're even calling Finnegan a scumbag on the TV show which is sad because he
didn't do anything wrong in the first place.

What's wrong with that cleary guy? Ever sine that picture of the Orange outfit surfaced, biatches be trippin. Yo. Wack. Playstation.

Do you all know that the op jumped into the pool without knowing how deep it was? He did. Fact, not conjecture.

The op failed to know the rules of the game, then got his feelings hurt and blamed multiple third parties for his perceived wronging.

Running the 10b rack was not enough of a challenge for that pot, historically. As a result, they made it harder. Kinda odd, but it sure as poop made the $grow.

And that, ladies...is how we got here and why it is silly to opine the event host(s) are Guilty of crookin or scumbaggin...(in this matter).

Seems to me he did make an error....by not informing a new-comer the conditions that
the man invested his money under.
He probably will never be viewed the like he was before this incident.

Ah, to be Finnegan!

Perhaps he could hav been more forthcoming withthe newcomer but it is a pool tournament, not the Macy's customer service window.

IMO, the participant bears the majority of responsibility re: bringing up any questions about rules.

Finnegan may not think to inform each participant of the rules, he doesn't seem like
the real sensitive type, and if he did, it could take forever to get started.
I don't know how many players enter the contest each week, but the rules are what
they are, and I wouldn't want to keep explaining them over and over and over and...

:boring:

I know clearing the table on the break not a real possibility but with 15 balls worth $180 each and only enough in the pot to pay for 10......it seems that a rule to make only 10 of them pay would have to be in place. No matter how unlikely something is, any good game protects against it.

You only have to explain them once....to the guy who got drawn....
....and then, only if he is a stranger.

We have a 10-ball break weekly in our room...with our own set of rules.
.....if you shoot till you miss, you forfeit all money....you either have to run out or decline
to shoot anymore....THEN you collect for anything you have made.
....so far, nobody has run out...if you have a shot at the late stages that you think you're
even money on....it's a bad gamble to shoot.

If a player is drawn for the first time, he is INFORMED of these unusual conditions.

If I was at a pool hall in New York City, gambling, being the big shot, I would get the
info myself, and I definitely wouldn't attack someone's reputation a year later.

There has been a local handicap 9ball tournament that has been running every Tuesday for 26 years.
The owner or tournament director/houseman, has ALWAYS gone over the rules, EACH AND EVERY WEEK before the tournament starts, for 26 years. This included the times when there used to be a 9 on the break jackpot, or a break and run jackpot.
Takes like 5 minutes tops.

To run a tournament and do otherwise, is stupid.

If this has been said already then my apologies but if I was pulled in 10 ball break and run and there were 15 balls in the rack wouldn't that be my first clue that something was a little different?
