First DCC match.

OF COURSE he didn't dog it on purpose, I was being sarcastic. Edit. IF Lou were to win the DCC one pocket then I would not play him and humbly add my $3000 stake to his DCC prize money. I am full of heart but I am not entirely stupid.

Are you saying after all this, that if a darkhorse longshot[Lou] wins this tournament you would not play him. That would be no heart.

I don't get a shout out for finding your cue so you could even get to play your match?? Just like a pool player, forgetting who he really needs to thank.

Oh absolutely. Jeeze thanks Steve. You have an eagle eye for spotting it in that mess.

Yes, if Lou beats all the incredible players here then I don't have the heart to donate $10,000 to him. But I would congratulate him on his win and tell him to enjoy his part of the $3000 I posted.

I would bet 10k playing SVB even either and that's the caliber of player Lou has to beat to win DCC.

And I am 100% positive that if I were to win DCC then Lot wouldn't play me in March either. But I would offer him weight if I won DCC.

The line right now espoused by many I have talked to is that he won't show up anyway.

Lou sweated my match and once when I made a good shot I turned and asked him if he learned anything. :-) He was too far away to hear me......Then later I sweated his match against Brumback. He lost 3:1. I paid John $10 jelly off the $20 I won betting against Lou. John said Lou didn't play good and I agree. He is going to need more than he showed against Brumback to beat me IMO.

I see you forgot to mention YOUR victim's name,..Was it some other 'champion' !..At least Lou got to play someone we have heard of !.. Good luck Mr. Barton,..I am sure you will [sic] advance rapidly on the winner's side !

PS..Weren't you both playing bank pool ? The 1P hasn't started yet, has it ?

Both Lou and John have only played their 1st round one one pocket. I didn't see them listed in banks. John played Kurt Kobayashi. Isn't he a champion? At eating hot dogs? ;) J/K!

Wishing both you and Lou good rolls there. Wouldn't it be insane if somehow they drew each other?

Here's the llink for completed matches to date.

It is Kurt Kobayashi from Hawaii. I wanted to save him the embarrassment of having lost to me. He is a nice guy who shoots really straight. He should have won but I escaped.

I agree Lou was unfortunate to draw John in the first round. Well he had five DCCs with easy draws against normal guys (his words) in the early rounds so he was due to draw a champion early.

No shame in losing to John unless John's last name is Barton. :-)

John, what's the one pocket race to, how much does the buy back cost and how many matches might you play today (assuming you continue to torture your opponents)? Thanks and GL!

See, now this is the post that would have made the most sense had you led with that :)

It just seems to me, from a neutral observer, that you come on here to argue with a person who is not even here, nor even interested in keeping the argument going. So much, you stopped in his pool room to keep it going, and he was the "bad" guy for leaving. So, forgive me if I don't see the logic of it all. I never claimed to be a rocket scientist

Reality check. I lost my second match 3:0 againt some who shoots straight and who knows one hole. Buy back was $75 play tomorrow.

I am not arguing I am commenting. How about you give me your phone number and when I want to post I will call you first to get your advice and editing?

I stopped in the pool room to check it AND him out. He didn't have to talk to me. What am I now forbidden from going to "his" pool room? The visit was great and I will be heading back soon at the invitation of the owners.

Although I did ask them if it would be OK and not be a problem with Lou and they said sure.

So really...... Stick to your own life and stop trying to live mine.

Too funny john. You're not arguing :) There is just not enough meds on the planet for me to live your life even for one day... not sure what demons you got running around upstairs, but I'm not about to find out :) Good luck to ya at DCC !!

My, My, we get a little testy when we get shut-out don't we ! ...But again, we get NO name ?..Surely this thrashing was
delivered by one of the well known One Pocket expert's ;)

Caution; the ROC Barton appears to be taking on water !

Not testy at all because of the match. I went straight there from the booth and got out played. Is there some requirement to provide names that I am not aware of?

I bet you'd give him $3500 back if he won the event. ;)

john, pay it no mind. congrats on the win. I would be pretty stoked and having a great time too. enjoy

Just left. Rodney was playing the 10 ball ball ghost 8 ahead for 4 dimes and after 44 games the score was even. Rodney plays so so smooth but once in a while I feel like he could benefit from taking maybe just 10 seconds more before pulling the trigger. The action room by all accounts is hotter than it's been in years. Ray let me get on the mic for a while and we chatted about it with Ray saying he has never seen this many stakehorses.

Today's Lou report is ---- I don't know. Lou played at 6pm and I have no idea how he ended up. I guess I could look :-)

Saw John Schmidt and had a nice short convo about the match. Sat there while Nick Van De Berg ran a couple hundred balls over several attempts - he is really smooth. And sponsored by JB cases. :-)

As is Rodney Morris now. Also a new JB Case user.

Met a ton of AZBers today - had a long convo with Elvicash - tell you what AZB has some really interesting and experienced people as members. The collective think tank that makes up the membership is pretty damn deep. I may not agree with all the views espoused here but from a life and professional experience perspective AZBers really do have a lot.

Rode the cart at the end of the night with Greg Sullivan and he is looking quite happy and pleased with the turnout and I thanked him for putting on the greatest pool show on earth.
