First post - New Table and thanks to the forum

Looks great! Love that table, what a beast it is.

If that were my room I would get some carpet remnants to piece in there to protect your legs from fatigue and balls and sticks that find the floor as they sometimes to.

I think Mr Martin is confused....
...most people use a garage to park a vehicle....
...he's using it to park whitey? :scratchhead:

Love everything about your setup, Mr Martin. It looks like big fun Fridays!

And Annie Oakley completes the room very nicely. ;)

Enjoy.

best,
brian kc <--- thinking I may need a tangerine vehicle, too.

Got a new Bar coming for the pool room. My uncle in CO made it and I bought it from him. He will be bringing it with him next time he comes to VT. Probably a couple months out. it is 24" deep, by 57" long by 31" high.

Now that is cool! Very nice and unique, I like the style

Is that a drawer below the top? Would surely be practical to hide all the little stuff there if it was

Lots of pool players could use a little instruction on how to use a bridge.....
....or a rest...or the crutch....or the lady's aid...or that &@$%# thang...

Here's a good example of using the bridge....eyes over the cue....
...I liken the bridge stroke to be like like throwing a back-hand instead of a punch.
...stance?...if you're right-handed, your leading foot should be the right.

pt....has been told he should take a LONG rest....:embarrassed2:

I don't believe that is a drawer, but I have not seen it in person yet. I talked with him last night and he is also going to make me 4 stools. No antlers in the stools, made with birch tree frames and will most likely be maple tops. Table is yellow birch top, but he used the last of his yellow birch on it.

I doubt it is a drawer. I have seen many tables thar hvr welded metal frames and that wood sitting inside the metal is only coming out to the up-side.

Turn the points away from aplroaching foot traffic, says the risk management team.

99% of the time it will be up against the wall and I will turn the points in. It will only be pulled out if I want to use the table for cards or something and won't have enough room to use the pool table and have this new table out away from the wall.

Looks like an AMF table, a knock-off of the Gold Crown. They were in a lot of poolrooms in the 60's and 70's. You have a nice looking set up there with all the amenities of a great man cave. ENJOY!

And House of Lords is the brand. Not associated with the pool room, at least not to my knowledge. Jay probably knows more about them than anybody.

Congrats!

Congrats on your new table and have lots of fun with it. I got my 9 footer when I retired in 2014. Hours and hours of enjoyment.
