Rare Beauties

Hey Ken

Thanks for posting the great pictures of these rare beautiful TAD cues. I normally do not like cues with floating points. These are exceptional exceptions.

Agreed!!!

I completely agree about floating points. It is amazing what a slightly different idea can accomplish. Great looking Tad's!!!

Beautiful cues! Just the type of Tad cues that I would love to have, but would never take out of the house =)

Without a doubt!!! What better for poles like those but to have the best caps in the world, there are only a few Tads like that and only a couple with Altons caps on them, they go hand in hand. I'm going to have Alton make caps for the floating pt Tad I have(the one that needs a butt cap).

Poor Alton he has become a celebrity in the past couple weeks and now his life will never be the same, the internet is so strong!! Nobody builds them like Alton-not even close, his personal the design work where he takes his ideas off the cues and translates them toi the caps works so good. For sure there are cue makers that could build them BUT nobody has the experience, artistic ability to take the highlites/designs of the cue and make them all fit on a little cap and have it look so good-thats where NOBODY is even close to Alton. I was looking at my Tad caps last nite-they just arrived and how he took the important things off the cue thats about 15 times longer and fit them on a cap and have it all flow together is his canvas!!! Alton's caps will go down in history now that he is famous.

I say all this with my heart, i'm not kissing up, I stand by what I say as the proof is there, the art is unsurpassed. You can feel the love he puts into them. I opened the shipping package infront of a friend who knows nothing about cues-zero. I handed him the caps, he didnt know what they were and LOVED them, he asked all sorts of questions. Kelly saw them and she was amazed too, she knows cues good for a non-player.

Ken,

Alton,

Sorry if my last post made you turn red, but I had to say it!!

Great post!!! Remember I said I was going to bring you a Ivory Tad to make caps for?? These will be good practice for you as the cue I have is much much more complicated. Good news is the cue I have dosent scalloped oval windows, but i'm sure it will be tough-it will challenge your artistic abilitys, I know you will be able to do it but it will be a tester,

Eric Petersen, Thank You

Eric,
I truly do...I'm glad you can see and feel it in my work.. Many times I ponder on the design, thinking and weighing out the many varibles that come into play.. The machining process and techniques I am limited to, and what the final look will be on the cue..
That "Love" is the single, most important driving force that influences the final outcome of anything we do..
