Are you allowed to shrink wrap you regular case? can you put a lock on a case and check it like that? I had a case bag but I cant find it now. I leave Friday morning to Dallas to attend Randy G's Pool School. No time to get a new bag before Friday. Any suggestions on checking your stick.

Hockey gear bag?

Checking it will still count as 1 piece of luggage. Following advice from AZ, I ended up getting a wheeled duffel bag. I was able to to pack my cues, case, and enough clothes for a 2 week stay in Las Vegas.

Here is one that meets the 62" luggage limit.

I have a hockey gear bag, that may work. I think I have a roller bag, may be. Still finding things missing after I lost 105 pounds of dead skin,,,,,I got divorced.

Don't know whether to console or congratulate you. You can pack your clothes around your cue case in the gear bag.

Congratulate me cause it's over in July, console me cause she lives upstairs. We have a two flat she has top and i have my son and w live o on the first floor good reddens. I think I'm going to try the Vicky gear bag. But was also thinking of this heavy canvas bag h that a lawn chair came in.

This has worked for me more then once. I went and bought a collapsible chair and it came stowed away in a heavy duty lime green stuff bag with a nylon draw string. My case fit in perfectly and cinched the draw string tight and tied a double knot in it close to the cinched area so that it kept it closed. I figured they could untie it if they wanted to inspect it. The lime green color made it easy to pick out at the baggage claim area.

Cuebuddy > needs to find lime green baggage now.

Regardless of how you pack it up there is still a pretty good chance that TSA will open it up. flying with mine I went to a Home Depot and bought an 8" concrete form and cut it to size and packed the case inside of that. I made a simple bottom out of 1/4" plywood and held it in place with screws. the top I made the same way but crossed leather straps and held everything together with pop rivets and screws. The whole thing took about an hour to make and held up great. Just pack foam or bubble wrap around the case to hold it secure. Very simple and cheap to do

I am sure that Randy could provide you a quality loaner. In fact, he could probably hook you up with a great deal on a nice sneaky. You cold probably try, buy and ship home.

Get a "travel cue" that matches your daily player as closely as possible and you are willing to baggage check.

Mine is a travel Gina. That way, if I lose the $3,000 Gina, I don't feel as bad as I would losing the $5,000 Gina ;-)

I never fly, this is the first plane ride in 15 years. Ifs rather strap it to me Harley and id be in the wind. Problem is it's 15° outside.

I suggest the you dress warmly flying on your cue up in the sky im sure it will be nippy I sure would not do it if I lean over a tad I will come crashing down to the ground. Will you or the cue hit the ground first come on people place your bets.:p

I have my money with the cue hitting the ground first.

I know that it is outlawed, but I saw A FEW guys flying to SBE with me a year or two ago that had a cue and soft case stashed inside an architects blueprint tube to carry on the plane. We were waiting in the boarding area. I saw that they had pool player insignias on their jacket so I inquired about what might be in the tube. The response was "pool cue" and it was okay because of the architects bluprint tube! I observed this with my two eyes. I was dumbfounded then and still am. No way would I ever try this. I use a Porper flight bag over my case or include the cue/ case in a larger wheeled bag as others have described. I pay whatever fees I have to.

Martin (still remembers when people smoked on airplanes)
