For anyone who thinks pool's not stressful

Fabio Petroni was just playing his match against Gabe Owen. Fabio was losing, apparently playing bad and just couldn't take it anymore. He missed a ball and then started banging his head on the table. Blood started pouring out of his head so bad that he couldn't finish the match. They took him out of the room and had to call the paramedics.

This looked much worse than I could possibly describe.

I hope that he's ok and he probably will be but...damn!

Did the blood get on the table? Simonis isn't cheap. Hope he is ok and can get back to the table. The stress of pool can do wonders to a persons emotions, especially at that level of play.

WTF..........I'm speechless

I was watching matches and didn't see what happened. I just heard the tournament director yelling, "Call the paramedics, call the paramedics". When I looked up Fabio was sitting in his chair completely out of it. When he came to, they walked him outside and blood was gushing from his head.

One of the spectators next to me thought it was someone pounding the ball on the table. Another specatator commented, "Now I've seen it all".

Damn, thats pretty harsh!! I know I've felt like doing that a countless amount of times. On very rare occasions i'll go and hit something like the concrete, but once is usually enough for me. Does quickclean clean blood off the table too?

any video... gotta see this one. I have pictured myself smashing my opponent's head on the table, but never my own. Guess he should take up soccer again, grass is much easier on the head.

I think he has the wrong mix on his medication. Way too much of something. Johnnyt

Well ya hit your head on a rock, bad things are going to happen.

As far as stress goes, last year there was a longtime APA leaguer, older guy here in Chicago that literally had a heart attack and died while on the eight during a league match. In a way it sounds funny, but the reality of it isn't.

I don't know Fabio but I'm glad his situation wasn't as serious.

If the TAR guys got this, I think they can charge more than the normal rate. That is some UFCP right there... new tour coming soon! Networks will be all over it.

If he got blood on my table I'd kick his ass!

You would have to wait until he finished kicking his own ass or just let him know to kick his ass for getting blood on table when he finishes kicking his ass for missing.

WTF is right. I am no expert but I don't think this is effective stress relier. I don't condone breaking cues, but perhaps it would be better to break your cue than your skull ;) .

there was some APA magazine laying around at league last week. had an article about an older gentleman who was playing in the finals of a team tournie, and it was hill-hill. he had a heart attack and died as he was getting down to shoot the 8ball. brutal.
