Not sure about the taper (new-old), the cue is more than afew years old. I'm in California
 
Everytime I see a cue build by Mr Peter Tascarella, I only read mention of Mr George Balabushka.
Peter hung out with the Heaviest Guns in the world.
Gus Szamboti, Frank Paradise, Burton Spain, Tony Black Boar, Bill Schick ect.
Peter Tascarella has secrects of All The Masters, don't ever think or believe differently.
That's a GUS style forearm and you can bet that wood is Choice, there ain't no play in this game.
