Ending this Sunday evening 10/04, I'm auctioning off my unused early 1990s Tad fancy cue. My guarantee is simple, 100% satisfaction or return for complete refund. If the buyer feels that their dissatisfaction is due to a misdescribed auction, I refund all the postage as well.

This cue is being auctioned with no reserve price. The high bidder will win the cue. This auction won't disappear suddenly. I don't end auctions early. I don't have items for sale locally. This auction will run to the end. Interested buyers will all have an equal chance to bid and win the auction.

This Tad features 4 points with 5 veneers, plus an extremely fancy butt treatment with french diamond inlays, fancy chain rings and intricate feathered inlays. Here's a very striking, colorful and unique Tad in perfect condition.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks

Kevin

I SAW this cue yesterday.
This cue is awesome!!! Best looking TAD I've ever seen. I envy the person that picks this one up.

Its a shame that its on ebay. Most of us would like to trade and add cash as necessary.

Ebay will take that away.

Oh well, seems like another cue going overseas. Especially a tad.

:frown:

Man, that's a gorgeous cue, a treasure. I love the feathers.
Don' see many fancy Tad's for sale.
This one could anchor a cue collection.

Haven't seen a butt that pretty since my first year of marriage.

That's not stricly true. There's nothing to stop anyone from contacting an Ebay seller before an auction ends and saying "If I win your auction will you accept X cue as $Y towards the total payment?" Worst they can do is say "No".

Kevin - Those extremely high-resolution close-ups of the butt appear to show finish and/or other issues with the inlays. Is that some kind of camera artifact or are those visible to the naked eye?

Bad Finish

Yeah, Kevin Not sure why you don't offer your cues for sale on Az Forum
first before selling on Ebay but as the seller it's your choice. I noticed the Finish issue as well and wondered if it is a problem ???

Thanks......Paul

Actually the poster was correct, I don't accept trades.

I don't think there are any finish issues at all I think that's camera reflection (or refraction). If you look at the close-ups of the butt, the french diamond notches appear to be flawed, but in real life they are perfect.

Thanks

I guess you are asking why I didn't with this cue as I often do actually offer sticks to AZ before I take them to auction. Its a matter of timing more than anything else. I run my auctions Sunday to Sunday so if I get the cue in time I'll offer it here first. I got the Tad on Friday so I put it up on Sunday. I'm in a cash flow business and its all about how fast I can turn the $$.

Here the last 2 cues I offered here at AZ before going to eBay:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=152508

I offered that cue on AZ for a week at $3,295, had absolutely no interest and sold it immediately on eBay for $3,350. Also recently there is this Spain/Gina offered for a week on AZ for (I think) $6495, and again, not one serious prospect (although an interesting question about the butt being warped), it sold on eBay in a week for $6,650.

I addressed the finish concern in a previous response. I think its my poor photography not Tad's flawless cue making.

While we are on the subject of the AZ/eBay cue market, I think we in the AZ community sometimes think that we are the pool community as a whole and while we are representative of that community, there are ,in fact, plenty of players and cue collectors that are not AZ members. There's a lot of talk on AZ about how soft the cue market is. My last 4 high end cue sales have gone to people that were not members here and they were quite aggressive and positive about the cue market (as I am).

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin, another incredible cue.

I don't blame for you a bit for listing your cues on Ebay. If you put up on this site you would get a thousand messages offering you 3 cues, a couple cases and $350 in cash. :) It ain't worth the trouble.

What some people don't realize is that you then have to go to all of trouble to then list all the cues, cases, etc. that you just took in and then get all the tire kickers making more offers. Not to mention no one thinking about all the trouble to ship let alone the shipping costs.

Good luck with the sale. Seems to me the way you are handling your business has worked "pretty" well.

Keep in touch,
JimmyK

I'd have to agree it's the seller's perogative where to list it first, and I have seen several cues I know were listed here sell for more on Ebay recently.

However it is a bit distracting to have all these "See my Ebay listings" posts that are not actually selling anything directly to the AZ members in the main section. Ideally they admins would add a separate "Auction listing" sub-forum like they did for raffles. Anyone have Mike's ear to whisper this in?

I like that ebay listings are posted here by AZB Members. That's beautiful cue that I would never have seen.

It wouldn't be AZ if someone didn't find something to be critical of.

It is a beauty, those feathered inlays are the sh*t.

Thanks for the bid and I still think that Charlie Conlon opening the windows in the Michigan Union in the dead of Winter before the finals of the First Annual Ann Arbor 9 Ball Championship was a shark move.

Thanks again

Thanks Jimmy.

I wouldn't be opposed to trades (in my straight sales I can't do it all in an auction) but nobody ever wants to trade me anything I want or for what I think it is worth.

Thanks again

You seldom see ivory-jointed Tads.
Is that because of a moral aversion he had to using it, or because so many of his cues were destined for Japan?
