Add to this that many have more demands on their time than men do in general...what with relationships, families, work, and any other outside interests.
That's only true for men in relationships who have NO CLUE!
Also, a large group of women might not get along as well as you might hope for...and can often be quicker to throw down than many men. I have been a member of a 30+ year old strictly womens pool league for better part of 10 years now. Every single year there is drama, some years the drama is bigger than others, but it is ALWAYS there. These women couldn't get along if their lives depended on it.
You're sure correct about that one! For the 25 yrs I lived in Bozeman, MT, the women's pool league ALWAYS had plenty of drama, while there was little to none in the men's league!

And your very right. My first job was as a busboy working under about 25 waitreses at an upscale seafood rest. in the 1950's. They could turn my face red at least once a night. I was over 55 women in the jewelry findings business and I worked as a nunse for 14 years, 5 as charge nurse. So I know what your talking about. Johnnytridewiththewind said:

Also I agree with the fact that alot of them would like to be able to play without getting harassed every five minutes! I think you would get more serious poolplayers out of a womans only establishment, than you do otu of regular rooms.
Another fact I think you are all forgetting about is alot of areas have big lesbian communities! I know mine does, they fill half the tables on ladies night and spend a ton of money. Most of the ladies (gay/or straight), just want to play pool.

In SC you can have private clubs, and in them refuse membership to anyone at anytime. If you don't give a reason no one can say that they were denied because they were white, woman or baptist only that the board of members denied their membership and refunded the fee. not to say you'd stay in business long refusing to serve so many, but it's legal.
pool halls have a hard time making money as it is. then your not gonna let in half of your clientele? Dont think it would work.

There is a long standing history of discrimination by minorities being acceptable. Women are considered a minority so I think that anyone trying to sue the hall for only allowing women would be whistling in the wind. I also think that a woman's only hall would need a huge population to draw from to survive. I do like Jay's idea of a women's only night to test the waters.
