Every link on this section keeps wanting me to download a file from ads.auctionads.com. Sorry but I do not agree with spam or any file that asks for me to download that I do not want to put in myself.

So far this auctionads.com has been wreaked nothing but havoc with any link from Ebay. Now downloading a file.

Spyware

Sounds like you have yourself a case of spyware or adware. No problems on this end.

This is the same auction ads crap they added on this site not too long ago. I will run 2 programs right now to see. Sad part is I just ran them 2 days ago with nothing in there.

I had the same popping up for me on a few pages here, but not all, starting just today.

no spyware in my machine-----ran 2 top programs too.....

Like I stated above this is this auctionads thing they added to the bottom of the pages. Now it is asking for a download. Sorry I don't want this program or anything related to this program on any of my machines.

What is up MODS?????????????

It is not spyware, but auctionads should only be setting a cookie and then passing you through to Ebay.

I am not seeing this happen at all, but I am using Firefox. One other person reported this issue and said he thought it was a problem with the default security settings in IE7 and Vista.

For the users experiencing this, what browser and OS are you using?

IE6------refuse to upgrade to the nightmare know as IE7-----On windows XP platform-----Through either AOL or Plain IE-----through Broadban

I'm using Win XP and IE6. No problems on my end.

EDIT: Now I see what you're talking about. I'm not clicking on any link with that crap. I suggest you get rid of that stuff Mike. You're only asking for trouble IMO.

Hal, I am curious how you were not seeing it and then you were seeing it. Did you do something different?

Or did you just look at the URL for the link?

Mike

I thought it was any link on AZ, but I realized it's on ebay links. If people say they're having trouble, then that's all I need to hear. I'm not clicking them.

No, it is only ebay links.

I am working on getting to the bottom of it. It should only be cookies being set.

Mike

i noticed that thing pops up for me whenever i click a thread. if i just go to the forum nothing happens but if i go into a thread then the ad thing pops up asking me to save it.

I'm getting them with eBay and other user/password sites. IE7 and Vista. I've run my spyware/adware scan and delated that junk and still have them. It's not just setting a cookie and passing through to eBay, it's a redirect to some of their websites which is more than a little annoying.

i'm not having issues with the auction ad things. windows xp& IE6 (i think).
I'm not sure why you need a third party to go to a link though.

Have the same problem with Vista and IE7. Also ran ad aware se professional edition. Just started happening recently too. It's too bad it's a pain in the ass. Have to goto the url and keep the http://www.ebay.blahblahblah and delete everything before it. Do something please.
