Four cues I picked at the DCC: Tad, Bender, Prewitt and Tasc.
When I headed to the DCC this year I planned on not doing a lot of cue deals. Well it went just the opposite and probably did more than I have at any other show. I gave up my snakewood JW and my Ginacue. But I picked up four really nice new cues. Three are brand new and one is 99% condition.
I have been wanting for a nice Tad for a long time. I was looking at some 8 pointers, but found a 4 pointer that was kind of different. I have never been a big purpleheart fan, but I think it looks great in this cue.
The Bender I picked up is really unique. I could have made fifty guesses and never would have guessed Bender. This is cue has a really old school look. Really sharp points, nice veneers and ringwork. All white is ivory. Love the ivory rectangles in the back.
The Ed Prewitt is by far the favorite cue I got. His stuff was really hot at the show. I can't say for sure, but IMO the Prewitts and Tads were the best sellers. The veneer colors in my EP are as nice as any cue I have ever owned. Love the blue. And of course the rings he uses are always super nice.
The fourth cue I picked is a very traditional Tascarella. It is in his shop right now getting leather put on. It is a Rosewood 4 point true Hoppe (no rubber bumper) style cue with flame veneers. Can't wait to get it back.
