Franklin pre-date SW with small crack. What's it worth?

Wow, that's a nasty crack! The cue is worth $75 to $100 in that condition. Because I need a SW shaft I'll offer you $300 for everything.
Let me know.

Nice try>>

I'm more concerned about the shaft than the 1 1/2" crack, and my offer is still north of $300...at least $425 for everything

It hard to tell from the pics , but is that cocobolo, a picture of the whole cue would help.

If you want the most resale value for the cue, contact Southwest to do the work.

It will cost more, but you should be able to recoup that cost.

I don't know how they would deal with that crack though, looks nasty to me.

I disagree, using Southwest is not the way to go.

This cue if perfect wouldnt be worth tons, and whomever repairs it , it really wont make much difference.

This can be fixed by a lot of cuemakers and repair places.

It isnt a big deal, structurally it is fine. Actually I would recommend Scot Sherbine with Proficient. He is fast, cheap, and does excellent work, and has repaired more difficult before.

Dont let these nits tell you that you have to spend a ton using Southwest, and wait forever to get the cue back. It seems they have already convinced you and thats a shame.

I concur. Scott does great work.

Both these gentlemen are spot on. Scott has done work for me in the past and it was all good!
