Franklin vs Kersenbrock

There probably is, but I wouldn't know how. DPK taught Franklin, and at least in the beginning Franklin did what he was taught. This means construction, machines, finishes, materials, etc. It's only logical to believe there's at least 50 cues that could go one way or the other & are virtually unidentifiable. As for worth, i'd say about even as the cues would be virtually the same & each builder has ultra high reputation on their own account.

Big,deep hole-Kersenbrock. I've seen a couple that looked like they were bored out with a .250 end mill.

Smaller,proper depth hole-Franklin. Tommy D.
 
Sending the cue to Laurie gets the job done, but I don't know what indicators that she looks at. I think you would get a good response to this question from the wanted/for sale section. Though nothing is for sale, this type of question is usually tollerated and enjoyed as educational for all.

Take a look at the one currently in the for sale section...."Early 80's predate" thread by Roger SLC-LV. The pin clearly would lead you to believe its a DPK without doubt.....but then he has a letter from Laurie saying its a SW. Maybe she's not even sure on the very early ones...would be understandable.:wink:
