Free DVD

Nathan, you had your hand in on just about every aspect of the DVD, from script, graphics to editing. Any plans for another one soon?

I've wanted to check out Mika's DVDs since they came out, but being a college student working only part time on weekends with no student loan check in hand (I don't know why...), I just couldn't scrape together enough money to buy them.

Great gesture, Neil. Hope someone deserving gets this!

Actually, Mika and I have been talking about doing a volume 4, which would be an Expert level volume (for serious players, unlike volume 3 'advanced' which is really just for advanced league players).

I've also had a lot of people say that they wanted to see more about Mika in the video, so Im considering doing a 5th installment, a sort of "behind the scenes of professional pool" type thing, where Id follow Mika around to the tournaments and hear/see how things go down from a players perspective. Maybe mix a little after hours party footage in there with some cash game action. Who knows.

Actually, Im considering starting a new thread about this to see what sort of feedback I get on the subject.

As most of you know, I won the free DVD of Mika Immonen that nathandumoulin offered on here. And, being currently unemployed, it was a blessing, because it was the only way I was going to get to see it.

I have recieved it and viewed it. I had chosen volume 3- Advanced Level. I am now offering it (with Nathan's O.K. already recieved) to someone else that cannot afford to buy it. Due to layoffs, ect. So, if you would like a chance to win it, post away. I have picked a number post to win it, and this will end Wed. at midnight. Please don't enter if you have the means to buy it.

VERY COOL, INDEED!

Gee, please count me in. I am in with the other unemployed pool-loving folks on here. My wife is gonna already kill me when she finds out I bought a sweet Tim Prince cue from here.....Ugh! Someone hide me! I would gladly pass it on as well. All the best, John

p.s. I am a new guy here and I LOVE it! :)

I thought you might get a chuckle out of this, you did post on the number I picked! But, alas, I have to disqualify you. I believe you have already seen it, (duh), and I believe you can easily get another one. (double duh) So, I will have my daughter pick after tomorrow night.

Oh I was so close.. One number off. lol

lol, I should have forced Neil to take Volume 2. I'd feel much more comfortable having that one passed around, as it's far more comprehensive and useful to the average player. I also spent the most time on that volume.

Dont get me wrong though. Volume 3 is a good reference to those who can already play, but it doesnt teach as much as Volume 2. The runouts on Volume 3 however...insane.

PS. I hope I win the free DVD :p
I would be glad to win vol. 2 from you nathandumoulin...lol.It's great to give the chance to win anything these day's. Rep for passing it along!

Lucky number.. If we keep it in rotation everyone will get a chance to view it.

Ahh! The competition is rigged!

(Im kidding)

Just pass it on to the next post after me. Or perhaps pick the person who seems to want it the most. Sorry for screwing up your draw though, it wasn't my intent. :)

This is one DVD that I've really been looking to get to improve my game and learn a lot from but since moneys been tight there's just really no room to spend money me and my family don't have .Just got to have faith that everything will turn out for the best .

Have I mentioned that in addition to being a college student, I'm also going to the ACUI National tournament this summer? A DVD like that would be sure to support a young talent's development :p
