Great to see someone giving their time to help other players and promote the sport. Well done and thanks for posting!

Calvin who???

Who is he? I've never heard of him.

It doesn't surprise me that a lot of people don't know Calvin. He doesn't play much pool outside of Orange County California. Calvin isn't big on head to head money matchups but he's still one of my favorite players in the game. Straight Pool is Calvin's forte - a game that isn't popular in Southern California. As an instructor, he'd be near the top of my list in the local area.

Glad to see he's still passing on his knowledge.

Donny....Belated congratulations on your new facility. It looks great.

Cool of you guys to make your place available for these lessons. That goes for Calvin too...a local excellent instructor and monster straight pool player who plays all games well.

Btw....nice Diamond! Congratulations on being the area distributor.

Sell Calvin one of your fine shirts to wear during lessons.

What time Donny?

Starts at 6:30, ends at 8:00. You don't have to arrive on time.

I attended the last 45 minutes. He was teaching: draw shot stroke, walking into a shot, kick shots, bank shots, adjusting to Artemis cushions on bank shots, and then it was open to questions that anyone had on shots and technique.
