Lucky guy got a Southwest.

Martin
Matt_24 said:Yes, Martin was very patient. He had no problem with waiting until tomorrow when my credit union opens up to send him a Certifed Check versus paying an additional 3% for paypal. If Martin had insisted I would have paypalled immediately though. The Southwest is MINE!Martin is a great seller (and no wonder he has such a stellar reputation) who definitely values his customers!!
buffalofloyd said:First I would like to say that the cue you have/had for sale is very nice looking and this question below does not pertain to your cue in any way. If this question is misplaced I apologize.
I just would to ask a question about SW cues in general. Why are these so sought after? I have seen many of these cues and nothing in particular made me say WOW I gotta have that. I admit that most of the SW's I have seen are plain jane style (like this one) with no inlays and the price is very expensive IMO. These cue get bought up right away all the time and I'm just wondering what the big attraction is. Is it the hit, the maker, or both, or something else completely?
Again, I apologize for using this thread for this question but I thought where better to get an answer than the people who looked at this thread and are interested in this cue and have the knowledge I don't.
Merry Christmas!
Jim
Matt_24 said:Well - when I review the photos of this Southwest I see anything but a "plain" cue. Just my opinion.
buffalofloyd said:I just meant it has no intricate inlays or anything. The cue is very nice and I meant absolutely no slight against it.
Hierovision said:That is certainly the best looking SW I've ever seen. I'm not a jealous person and I felt a little ping over this cue. I'll trade you all the cues I own for that one![]()
Matt_24 said:Got her in last night, chalked her up and went to town. This cue plays GREAT and is beyond comparison in looks. Thanks Martin for a wonderful deal. I'm very happy with the cue.

Smokey you are a character.smokey said:actually i have a few ways to explain this;
1st way: i've been in a coma since 12-29-2007, 10:37 AM and just came out of it today.
2nd way: i saw a few sw's for sale today and one post led to another thread and then another then somewhere else (i got lost), plus i was on my first cup of coffee after a long night and posted. again, also kind of like being in a coma this morning.
i guess both of the above are true! and after reading the above threads from Thecoats and RackRunner, i immediately went back into 'my' coma.
and the worst part; i know Matt a little and we PM'ed each other when when he bought this cue, and i got one a few days later. i thought i recognized it, but thought, wow, he just bought another one like the december one which i am pretty sure he sold.
Fact: i need help!!
sorry,
smokey
