How heavy is the blank? Is the blank full cored? I'm interested in getting a purple heart forearm into ebony that is fully cored. I had 3 from John built this way and they all played super solid.

This jewel of a John Davis blank is still avaiable.

Hi Duc, This blank weighs 20.79 oz., and is, of course, over size. It is 29-1/8" in length. No blanks are cored but could be if the customer wants to pay for the work. The points are perfect top and bottom. .945" at joint and 1.365 at base. With a light joint pin, it might or might not need a rear core. Any skilled cuemaker will know what to do with the blank. For sure it was made to be a wrapless cue!

PS: Bruce, longsplice means there is no second finger splice of maple to relieve weight as there is on many of the other fullsplice blanks. In other words the point wood is continuous to the butt.

Man, I wouldn't mind buying that just to have on my coffee table for a conversation piece! Beautiful blank.
 
Thanks David. FYI, the blank has been sealed with lacquer sanding sealer to prevent any checking or cracking. If you buy it, I'll be glad to lighly sand it and give it another coat of sealer so it looks shiney and worthy of putting on your table. Bear in mind the blank can always be made into a cue at later time.

I have pricing for a build with 2 shafts, LBM ferrules, slver ladder rings at joint and buttcap. Linen, wrapless and leather. The cost of the blank is separate.
