I have had this cue for about a week, and have had it down at the pool hall, hitting balls with it and letting some friends who are pool players hit with it, too. The consensus of opinion is that it is a monster player. I am going to make it available here with no wait. Other than the test play this week, the cue is new. Pick this one up and avoid the 18-24 month wait that Mason currently has.

Mason used all quality materials in this cue, from the unique full-splice goncola alves into purpleheart blank, the yellow micarta ferrule, the Kamui medium-soft tip, and to real silver in the rings. You won't be disappointed in this one.

Here is a MasonH cue done in goncola alves into purpleheart...two of the best hitting woods out there. It is 57.5" long, and is built using the old Kersenbrock taper in the butt and shaft.

Specifications:

-Butt: 15.7 ounces
-Shaft: 3.9 ounces, 12.9mm, 3/4" yellow micarta ferrule, Kamui medium-soft tip
-3/8x10 G-10 pin, wood to wood joint with black phenolic collar
-Joint rings of real silver, white phenolic, real silver
-Purpleheart forearm
-Points and body of cue is very nicely grained Goncola Alves
-Black phenolic butt cap with a Hoppe ring of real silver, white phenolic, real silver
-Balance point at 18.5"
-Cue is 57.5" long
-Old school Kersenbrock taper in butt and shaft for a firm hit
-Initialed under the bumper

SOLD, pending receipt of payment

Joe- I know I can ask Mason this, but is this his normal taper on the butt and shaft, or was this requested?

Thanks, Cory

EDIT: Forgot to mention.... Beautiful cue!!

Kersenbrock's taper and Gold's length and pin... Excellent combination... This cue has to hit well... Buyer will be very happy with this one...

Cory,
I will check with Mason. I am uncertain if he has settled in on the old Kersh taper or used it specially for this one.

Here's what Mason said about this cue:

"that cue plays very well.i made it for a guy and he didn't have the money to buy it when it was ready so i sent it to Bama.

that cue has my standard taper on the butt and shaft and my yellow micarta ferrule.it will be a very good representation of what my cues play like.

i know you will like the PH up front."

this cue is my standard.i use the Kers taper but the shaft is 1/2" shorter than SW or Kers, both the butt and shaft are 28.75" long.

Cant wait to see one myself, Mason is a great guy. Deacon

Let me know the next time you are going to Red Shoes and if I have it by then, you'll see it.

Received the cue yesterday and hit with it a bit last night.

Nice hit. A little stiffer than my SW that I have been playing with.

Nice workmanship.
