FS; Milk Dud Tips New Price

I purchased some "dudleys" from mueller's....

and got them in today, I opened the package and was just disgusted! Got a bag of 50, 14mm tips. 16 of them were 3/16" thick, 15+mm dia. The other 34 were slightly thicker than 1/4", roughly 14.75mm dia. AND ALL WERE SKEWED TO ONE SIDE!!! Making them look like little trapezoids lol

Needless to say, I'm gonna return them and order some of yours here very soon. Now, do you have any issues with them skewing from being compressed and are they all uniform in size and thickness?

Here's what Mueller's sent me:

357-

I don't know how Jeff makes 'em. But, based on my experience(s) with these 'dawgduds'-he sure knows how to make 'em.

I have purchased-about 50 of these tips. I have given away about 45 of them for people to try. I feel that strongly about the quality of these tips.

imho-They hit 'medium-hard'. They 'grab' real nice. The sides stay up. They keep their shape. I like these tips.

The shape, color, hardness, thickness and contour have been consistent with each batch that I have received. They're symmetrical and 'squared up'. Whatever/however Jeff is doing to press these-he's got it figured out. Personally-I like the little (centering?) dimple on the dome top:wink:-but that's my issue.

Maybe these will catch on in the Phillipines. Some pretty good players like duds. Hoping so. A trial 5-pack was gifted-as well as some 3c Magic Chalk-but this man makes his own magic. We'll see.

Jeff is a hard working family man who makes a great 'dawgdud'.

Take care

-a very satisfied customer

PM Sent

Jeff,

Sent you a PM my friend. I've let several of the league players play with some of my cues that I have these tips installed on. Now, everyone who has been getting their tips changed are asking for these to be installed on their own cues...so, that forces me into the position of ordering even more tips...darn it all. I put an order in for 15 more! :D

Bump...

I know I've posted several times in this thread...and will continue to do so...deal with it... :D

Recently I picked up my first Tony Zinzola cue. LOVE IT! It came with two shafts with an Tiger Emerald and a Moori medium...both well known and well respected tips. I've been playing the cue for about a month now...I love the way it looks, love the way it feels in my hand and really liked the feeling of the hit of the cue. Something seemed a little off to me...

I pulled the tips off this afternoon and replaced the "well-known" and "well-respected" tips with Jeff's Milk Dud tips and I've shot another dozen racks of 9-ball...now I also LOVE the feeling of the hit!!!

I'm not a paid spokesman :p, but if you haven't tried these tips, shell out a few bucks (a fraction of the cost of the "premium" tips I pulled off my higher end cue) and give them a try.

They play like a soft tip with regards to the English/Draw I can get with these tips, but they have a "firm" feeling I like to get when the tip strikes the cueball... I've been playing these tips for a little over a month now (on several of my "players") and haven't needed to do ANY reshaping of these tips!!! If you don't want to spend $25 on a cube of chalk...these tips also hold the Masters chalk I use very well (the Masters WITH the flag on it!)... These tips are saving me money (and making me money in certain games!) left and right!

Oh yeah...I almost forgot...I replaced my Samsara break tip on my OB Break Shaft with one of Jeff's Milk Dud tips to see how it would hold up under my "massively powerful" break stroke (okay...that's not ENTIRELY accurate with regards to massively powerful...but still a decently strong break stroke :p) and Jeff's tips stand up to that abuse as well!

Yessir...I like 'em!

Jason
