Awesome cue Martin!

Dave's work is flawless.

Good Luck with your sale,
Chris

If you want a quick way to show people why Dave's cues are worth the money, post a couple of super close-ups of his ring work. There are a lot of people who might not understand or care about Dave's unique construction techniques, but they'll completely flip when they see those rings. Do yourself (and us) a favor and post some pics of them.

If you think that Dave's cues are nice, wait until you meet Dave. A super gentleman.
Awesome looking cue Martin.

You are either getting old or you are working too much. I told you I met Dave and Kathy at a dinner while at VF. Two wonderful people that I look forward to working with on a project someday in the not to distant future.

Another Bump for you Martin!

Chris

You do not see these too often and this one certainly wont last. I hope one day to own one, funny thing is we live in the same state, would be cool to do a video interview of his shop and the man behind the magic. :)

Thanks everyone for the positive comments. As Dave moves from level 1 to level 4 rings, they become more kaledoscopic! The rings here are just touching level 3. I'll get another photo of rings from this cue by the weekend. Of course, in time we hope to have a few Dave Barenbrugge cues with level 4 rings and forward and reverse points and butterflies. It's not just how Dave's cues look either. They are engineered to perform too. That's what excites me!

Martin

I hate to sound like a nuthugger, but this cue is amazing - that ringwork is something else.

Close-up of the birdseye forearm, please.

wow..Id sell both my prewitts for this cue

this is an awesome cue..the ringwork.butterfly points...leather wrap....colors..just simplistic beauty. Anyone wanna buy both my prewitts?? Lol

It appears as though the ringwork is actually 10 or more rings per ring section! That's nuts! Is that the case? Or are his rings on this cue made from inlaid veneer banding like on the old square or hexagonal brunswick cues?

It's 11 tiers. Each ring is cut from a billet of either solid wood, or a wood billet with slots filled with other wood. None of it is veneer. Just a series of rings from spliced wood billets to give a collective appearance. I relate it to cross stitching because it's the same general artistic approach. Each stitch means nothing but as a collection they create a symmetrical design that our brains recognize & separate from randomness. The art is quite accomplished on it's own. But the fact that he does it with wood that is virtually paper thin is amazing. It's not easy to do, either. The more you know about how it's done, the more you realize the margin for error is infinitely small, as small as humans are able to see. Otherwise it wouldn't have the same effect. The level of human precision involved in these rings isn't any less than what was used to build the pyramids. Almost unimaginable.

Man

Man thats gotta be one of the sharpest damn cues ive seen in awhile
And awesome that its different.. very very sharp/classy

Amazing Flawless ringwork. Can't wait until I see one in real life some day. I doubt I run into a lot of these, I have never seen one. Does he not produce a high number of cues?
