FS Sugartree

for all the lowballers

if you would just keep your comments to yourselves about the price, that would be great. if you dont like the price, dont buy it. if you look anywhere for Sugartree cues. this is the round about of what they sell for brand new. and i can say this cue is brand new as it has been sitting in a case since purchase. so, in all fairness, please keep your lowball prices out of the thread. if you want to offer low ball amounts, PM them to me. its that easy. im not trying to make money on the cue. i am trying to sell this fantastic cue for someone else to own. not for my personal gain. i just bought it to see the cue and then sell it. thats all there is to it.

by the way

i bought the cue from "lenoxmjs" and "worminator". their company is New2YouQs. you should check it out.

in reference to paying the $1500, he already has and he sold it to me!!!!!!

thanks for all your help Matt and Jamie

nothing wrong with the price, don't sweat the haters,DP.

If I owned a Sugartree, I would love to see pj's going for $1.5K. So I don't blame Sugartree speculators for trying to ride this craze and make a profit on cues that may never even see a pool table, or even the other Sugartree owners who are chiming in with "can't believe it's still available!!!", "can't believe it didn't sell in 3 minutes!", etc, etc - Keep pushing every Sugartree you see for sale here, and maybe you can artifically inflate the price among AZ'ers, and increase the value of your own Sugartrees.

Scott <=== knows if he disagrees with an AZ'er, he is a 'hater'...doesn't mind

Seems to me that the price is in line for what they were selling for at VF, and most times thereafter.

While the cue isn't to my PERSONAL tastes (big pin and no wrap)...I can say, for sure, that the cue is gorgeous....and made by one of the hottest makers going right now.

Nice cue, all in all.....and I'm sure it'll sell to the right guy/gal at the right time.

Good luck.

runscott,i wasn't calling you a hater.you know that.you also have a very good and wise point in your statement.i am not saying i would pay $1500.i said that is the right asking price, but you and i have talked about the mystical Sugartrees before and you know i agree with you.it was really really directed to the guy that says it is worth less than $900.

if he wants to know what the market is willing to pay, just put it on fleaBay with no reserve. I've been wrong before, but I bet $500; tops !

What's your mortgage...'cause that's what I would be willing to wager on that bet!

ME TOO!!

And I don't mean a mortgage payment - I mean my whole 7-digit mortgage!!

(Sigh, yes home prices in Cali really suck!)

that cue is worth 1500 based on performance alone, you wont find a better playing cue for 1500 period. it isnt hype to make Sugartree owners feel good or some ploy to inflate he price, christ sakes whats $500 these days? the fact is for the $$$ its the best playing cue there is, a plane jane Tad might be the next step up and to me they play equal, the Szams play a bit better in most cases I have a couple that dont, in a few years Eric will be up there with the best of the best, he is head and shoulders above any "new" cue maker there is now. dont knock it till you try it.

I didn't even think 'hater' was an insult - figured you were just messing around.

This is one of those nutty threads I should have stayed out of - I would really like to try a Sugartree, but it's one of those cues that I think has an artificially high price now, and I don't want to be one the ones without a chair when the music stops.

Mighty bold talk for a 1-eyed Fatboy

"not going to find a better playing cue for $1500","head and shoulders above any new cuemaker there is now"

that is the hype others are referring to,and why some people give flack to the prices.you can't just say stuff like that in a public forum and not expect people to chime in.you might need to get out and try some new cuemakers cues before barking out absolutes.

i own enough cues and have played long enough to back up my statments, i agree with you that people chime in, but do they own a sugartree? have they played 22 years, do they have the experience I have with different cues? most likely not so thats why I will stand by my statment, i'm not a know-it-all but I do know when I have a legit statment, I own so many sazms I dont know how many I own and I have one sugartree and its better than 2 of my szams and close to the rest, I have one bushka that I dont think will ever be topped-speaking for myself, I have a Barry thats at the top of the list too and one Tad, but again for $1500 its cheap considering the performance, if you have any interest in action whats a few hundred more for a top playing cue, it isnt a $6,000 Gus.

Sugartree

This cue was first offered for sale on 07/22 by Worminator for $1400. It obviously sold at or near that price then so it is not unreasonable to offer it for sale for $1500 at this time.

However, what I find unfathomable is that the cue is still unplayed. If dpence is a player, he has done himself an injustice by not using this stick, because if he had, it probably wouldn't be for sale. Why sell a cue for a small profit when that cue may be irreplaceable in it's "playability?"

In the interest of full disclosure, you will NEVER see the 2 Sugartrees that I own for sale so I have no interest as to the current or future price of Sugartree cues.

I've managed to stay out of flame wars on this (and every) board, but really feel that I have to ask this----

Why is it that some of us feel that it is socially acceptable to get on a "for sale" thread and ***** about the price? Or call cues overpriced and overrated?

I mean really, if you don't like the price or the cue, how much effort would it take to just jump to the next thread without trying to piss in someone's pool?

Oh yeah, while I'm here...I love the look of this and other Sugartrees. When I free up some cash, I'm getting one. (Or, more accurately, as soon as my wife lets me, I'm getting one. )
