Full splice blanks with long points.

Hey guys,

I saw a few Prewitt wrapless full splice cues last weekend at SBE and they had really long points/splices. I really liked the way they looked. Does anyone know if there is another cue maker that makes full splice blanks like this?

I tried to get my hands on one of the Prewitt's I saw but both were in the $3500 range which seemed to be a little too much for a plain wrapless cue with veneers IMO.

Yes but the points are not longer, they are just moved up the handle area.

You should have snatched up one of those beauties.
Sure it's a bunch of cash but everytime you have a lock at the stick it pays out IMO :thumbup:

John Davis and Jerry R. points are not long. Jerry won't do that extra length.

Prewitt and Tasc points are long.

Try Mark Bear, who knows, he might stretch that extra few inches for you.

Actually, John just finished new jigs with this purpose in mind. The actual point wood is approximately 2" longer than the old ones. I believe the main purpose of it was for non veneered blanks, since without veneer they appear much shorter.

I may be wrong, but i believe Mark Bears standard point length is longer than most anyones, have only seen one of his non veenered blanks in person, but would assume the ones with veneers would use the same angle

I'm pretty sure Ted Harris make cues with super long points, coming within about an inch of the joint. His prices would probably be more reasonable as well.
