funny or serious, who to pair in the booth?

Joey A and Lou F; Strickland and Souquet; JJ and Mika; "Elbows" Ellerby and Jennifer Chen; and San Jose Dick and Artie Bodendorfer.

Actually, Joey and I did commentary together at a 1pocket tournament down in Gulfport, not too long ago. (Maybe like four guys saw and heard the stream.) I've done broadcasting before and actually have a much better voice for this type of thing than Joey. Basically, I had to carry him for the duration of our time in the booth together. I understand he's gotten better, though.

It's good to be self confident !

oh yeah. I tried to school him, as best I could. But we were "on the air," right from the get go. There was little I could do, like try and save him from starting every sentence with, "Uhhhhhhh," and "Ahhhhhhhhh." And he was always making excuses for the players, too. But, like I said, it couldn't be helped. He was a good sport about it all, though :-)

We all know Joey will not let this go without firing back. I can see him punching the keys now, Buckle up Lou.

Commentary

Buddy Hall and Nick Varner are my favorite booth men, they keep it real, shot for shot!

Eddie Robin, Don Feeney, and Tom Shaw (from Pool & Billiards mag.). I made it a three person booth—just like Monday Night Football!
