Naah, I was watching for a couple bodies though. One to put an iron duke four cylinder in with the midget racing components for a street sleeper.
Then there were the old Mercedes hardtop convertibles. You could pick them up very clean other than an engine needing rebuilt for five hundred or less when the owners found out a rebuild cost six thousand dollars up. Having a salvage yard I planned to put in Chevy running gear front to back. It might not last as long but it would be a hell of a street sleeper which was what I was into at the time.
That conversion looks clean compared to some I have seen. Somebody put together a Buick and a Chrysler with totally different body styles that didn't match at all. An incredible amount of work put into a vehicle that only a scrap yard would buy!
