A fond memory. Marie’s was old school and cool, but closed a few years ago - happily to be replaced by an even cooler place, Surge Billiards (one of a growing Chicago chain).
The new owner kept the “star” shape of the top part of the sign, but (to the relief of the neighborhood), the bottom part was eliminated.
