This certainly beats the old log splitter I've got all to death , I have to wonder how it would work with damp cottonwood logs that are 3' - 4' across ha ha

Check youtube and around. I have seen video of splitters twelve feet or more. People got on a kick who could split the biggest and badest! Some other splitters constantly move in a circle. An attention lapse would be costly!
I had my Hu tuned pro saw helping my brother cut up some fire wood. Then he saw how fast I could cut log sections lengthwise. Faster and easier than splitting plus bags and bags of noodles to start fires. After that he was done splitting wood!
