Can't make out what it is. Looks like the last time I squirted the cat with the garden hose!

I like it! Always wanted a Darlington stripe on my racecar. One track owner asked why I always ran so close to the wall. I pointed out I wasn't the one that put the wall there!

Anudder track, I got some bad advice on rear gear ratio. Halfway down the straights it felt like somebody was sticking icepicks in my ears even with a tight fitting helmet. Three-fourths of the way down the front straight I was still buzzing the tires and throwing rooster tails on the flagman, something I am sure didn't score me any brownie points!

Looks like an oxygen bottle.

Not oxygen unless they have changed paint codes. However, I think you are right, a gas bottle. Nitrogen or another inert gas at a guess but then again I don't know what helium or hydrogen bottles look like so I am guessing.

I saw the valve get knocked off of a full oxygen bottle, twice actually. The first one flew a bit over a hundred feet, hit and buckled an H-beam holding up a pipe rack about ten feet tall and started spinning on the concrete. It spun so fast that the center it was spinning on looked like a ball with everything else invisible! I didn't have a clock on it but I think it spun over a minute. Amazing how much more careful I got about keeping the caps on my personal bottles!

All these yrs I’ve never noticed color as a reference. Crazy. I do have some bottles proofed back to the 30’s.

Firewood always warms you twice!

Check youtube and around. I have seen video of splitters twelve feet or more. People got on a kick who could split the biggest and badest! Some other splitters constantly move in a circle. An attention lapse would be costly!

kinetic / flywheel splitters move constantly in a circle. modern versions are safe and fairly effective for homeowners. older version killed the son of a relative of mine. screw splitters can also move constantly, but today they are only used as attachments to an excavator or forwarder here in sweden, to split logs too big for a firewood processor. hakki pilke was the best processor when i was still in the logging business
