I saw that too. Those people- reported as 300,000 on a 20km stretch of mountain- arrive days early to get a spot. It is claimed that they bring copious amounts of alcohl and food witht them, so it is not that surprising to see strange thins on the sidelines.

I have seen groups of people mooning the riders, people shaking giant dildos at them, even a naked guy and girl jumping up/ down on the side of the road.

None of that offers even a hint as to why that guy is running with a boar: he had to plan that out 3 or 4 drunks ago!
