The picture of the Motor Drome (Wall of Death) is what was called a Lion Drome.
I rode in a lion Drome for 2 years for a man by the name of Sonny Pelaquin. My Drome riding career spanned approx 20 yrs off and on. Samantha Mogan is also on the first page. I rode with her in 1980 and 81. She has been gone for a few years now due to numerous injuries sustained from riding the Wall.
I had my share as well. When something happens, Newton's Law takes over and it usually isn't pretty. I broke my leg in four places one time and had some head injuries from another rider running into me in another accident.
I am halfway down the page here.
His Mom and Dad were Drome owners and rode as well as Sonny and his brothers.
If you click the link to the left that says Lions, there is a picture of Sonny's brother Joe and a picture of King at the bottom of the page.
