I don't think it has a lid. On the final upside down flip he looses some wine (can't see the wine since his entire hand is covering the glass) and if you watch closely he switches the wine glass behind his back.

I wonder what this is
This is odder than the wine glass that seems to maybe have an inturned or rolled over rim to help a little bit. I have seen what happens when somebody's hand touches two thousand degree pipe. It doesn't look like a burn or any other kind of wound, the tissue, skin and meat, just disappears. No bleeding, no sign of blood, looks like a cutaway in a science book.
I made a note about wearing gloves not that it helped much, I worked around 1800-2000 degree pipe for months. Not touching it was a must. The pipes looked translucent and were very very badly corroded. I asked why they didn't use stainless steel. "This is stainless!"
