I love these 'old codgers complaining about the young guys' threads.

I've been in a fish house in Minnesota. You have to really want to go fishing and be really bored with nothing else to do.

Or..... have no desire to sit on the couch, watching the idiot box, with the wife barking in your ear about working around the house. I go ice fishing because I know she wont follow me.
Ah, she got a good lesson in the slickness of soapy water.

I get it. I went with my Grandpa and when he drove his truck on the lake I could hear the ice making a popping noise. It was a bit unsettling but Grandpa obviously knew what he was doing. Caught some fish. Had fun but I was enjoyed the outdoors.
