I think the rubber front bumper came out a couple of years before the rubber rear bumper, and I'm not sure, but I don't recall a significant change from this 78 until the final year of the C3 in 1982. A little Corvette trivia, there were 0 1983 corvettes sold as they were revamping the line and weren't ready until model year 1984, but there was one 1983 built (as determined by the VIN).

It's a '78 or '79. Only standard feature visual difference are the seat backs and air cleaner.
