I quit drinking coffee about 30 years ago , I replaced it with either ice or hot tea .

As for smokeless tobacco I quit my sometimes 1 - 2 can a day Copenhagen habit cold turkey on 12-2-2017 right in the middle of chemo and radiation treatments for throat cancer , or to be completely honest P 16 Human Papaloma Virus , no my cancer wasn't because I used tobacco products or smoked it was hereditary as both of my parents died from cancer and its treatments .

i'd like to try copenhagen / dip. in sweden snus is heated and pasteurized, so no significant cancer risks. otherwise i assume it's about the same as dip, we put it under the upper lip though and start with it in middle school.. i guess there are nicotine pouches now that are a cleaner products for the teeth, but i prefer the old stuff

Copenhagen hasn't changed a thing since it's inception other than a plastic can in Canada .
As the old commercials would tell you " Just a Pinch Between Your Cheek and Gum , Walt Garrison was their pitch man back then .

WB Cut was another favorite of mine back then it came in a foil pouch and was a bit more discrete when in the shirt pocket or back pocket of you're blue jeans .
Then there was Spark Plug which you literally had to cut or tear off a chunk of it , which was similar to the Twist chewing tobacco down in,many,of the southern states .

Joe Walsh: just a pinch between your cheek and gum...all night long.

The snuff always made me wonder...never saw anybody buy it and snorting that powder, wtf?!? Whose dumb idea was that?!

Snuff was a big thing hundreds of years ago with European aristocrats I think. They’d sniff it to sneeze I think. We got some of that kind of snuff at a tobacco shop in our younger years. It was super fine, like ground cumin or cinnamon from your spice jar. Maybe even finer. Way finer than Copenhagen. I never got into dipping thankfully. Tried it. Saw why people went to the long cut instead of regular Copenhagen or skoal, didn’t like the long cut that well either. Marlboros were more my thing, but quit those decades ago. Anyway Copenhagen and such are for dipping not snorting as you have seen.

Anybody remember Happy Days? Knew one guy who chewed gum then dipped the wet gum in Happy Days raspberry and chewed that. Don’t know how much of that he ate over the years. 🤢

I'd forgotten about those Walt Garrison Skoal commercials:

Two Walt Garrison funnies:
1. His 'signing bonus' when the Dallas Cowboys drafted him was a horse trailer. He asked for the trailer so that he could trailer his horses and participate in rodeos.
2. Long after Walt Garrison retired, he had a little 'fame' as a chef. He was featured on a cooking show where he made his version of 'Texas Chicken Fried Steak'. At the end of the show, the host closed out by saying 'Well, there you have it folks. That's how you make chicken fried steak down south'. Walt Garrison blurted out 'that's how you make a chicken fried steak up north too if you want a good chicken fried steak.'
