I think you have been called out?
Drexeline or spot are within striking distance of zuglans josh or a hop away from Drexeline in April for the super billiard expo in Oaks Pa.
respect to both you and vinny!

I will be in oaks for the expo. i will be playing in the one pocket event. and i am always available for action.

I wouldn't underestimate Vinnie in that match up. ;)

You have no idea how good these guys like a Danny ie. 351 run play?
they play for a living ie. food and shelter!
Vinnie good player but there are better area players around here that he gets weight from!
I will not name players as that will kill their action!

Yes they have and will...

I guess that's a fair point to some degree. But the rooms that survived the clean air act laws understand how important it is to adjust to the times. Betting your business on the aging smoking minority doesn't make good long term business sense. ;)

You have bal-- I saw you play Oscar not even you lost but you played great!
like I said respect

So this thread is no longer about smoking, but is now about Vinnie generating action?
Why not expedite things.

Vinnie loves to be in action win or lose, and will empty out just like all the rest of us degenerate gamblers if you beat him.

Everyone who likes straight forward action just should come up and take their shot. It's that simple.

As for the smoking. If it's known that smoking is allowed at The Spot, why are people bichin 'bout it?
No one is forcing anyone who hates smoking to come in and play.
If you dont like it, go to a non smoking establishment, or buy a pool table for your house.
Just stop crying about it already.

Poolmouse, at some point your going to have to chew your leg off to get out of this trap.

We are a tight nit pool community here in the city and north east.
And the Fusco name and legacy will forever be a part of pool around the world.

If we smell a rat, every one smells it.

Dont be surprised if by chance you wind up barred from every room in the area.
Im sure bob, al, pete and even the owners of the soon to be open tacony club on the boulevard have heard about you by now.

Maybe wasnt the best idea using our private club as the poster boy for your passive aggressive diatribe.
All this could've been acomplished with out singling us out. Threads already existed on the subject and it is definitely a worthy topic to discuss in this day and age.
Just not the right way of going about it, imho.

Good luck in your quest.
T-pocket.

Btw, vinny, we might be getting a visit from a certain world champion(and smoker) tomorrow. If he shows and If you want to make a game I or pete will call you. Thanks for your support and take it easy.

Hi Tronpocket,

Fusco's The Spot might be just the "poster boy" needed to help close the "private club" loophole some pool rooms are exploiting.

Can Fusco's The Spot provide a link to their "private club" meeting minutes and board member votes, for every month since Pensilvania granted them clean air act exempt status? As a member I believe I am entitled.

If I'm banned I'd like to see the board meeting minutes when the vote was cast. If I was never a member (um, credit card receipts don't lie), I presume that would mean that Fusco's The Spot allowed public non-members to come in while allowing "private club" members to smoke?

I believe that scenario would be a violation of the requisites provided by the state for the very exception you're citing.

If you're too busy to fulfill my request, I suppose I can approach the state with a formal request.

How's that leg tasting? :)

It needs to change to something else to get away from the mouse. He just can't seem to comprehend no one gives a rat's ass what he thinks.

it sounds like you have crossed the line with your agenda.

Ha, I'm guessing you conveniently skipped over Tronpocket's "we're all going to ban you", comment?

Threat, no. A concerned non smoker testing the effectiveness of Pensilvania clean air act laws, absolutely. ;)

The exemptions exist, but not without requirements. If Fusco's The Spot is obeying the law, there shouldn't be any concerns, right?

I don't recall a response from Tronpocket regarding Facebook, the bit about not mentioning "private club", "smoking allowed" - you know, the stuff PA wants exempt companies to make clear but is conspicuously absent? :D

Anyone who can't even spell Pennsylvania correctly should be required to leave the state. Let's make you an example. My high school dropout brother can even spell it correctly.

a cheap, yet very effective way to deal with "second hand smoke"

I agree, smoke is a problem, however - one possible solution for pool room owners:

When you need a way to help the smoke issues, follow this simple guideline.

Put ceiling fans 8' apart, covering your ceiling square footage. Then make sure that each fan is rotating the opposite direction from the one beside it. This creates a positive air circulation that sucks the smoke immediately up into the ceiling and away from you customers.

This is a cheap, yet very effective way to deal with "second hand smoke" on a limited budget. 'The Game is the Teacher'

So I spent a few hours at Fusco's The Spot and when I got home I couldn't tell if I smelled like smoke or not.

https://www.facebook.com/Fuscothespot?rf=119959904685946

After I showered it was clear. I stank like a dirty wet sock. I guess smokers don't notice/care since their sense of smell is already impacted.

I think I'm done with that place, at least until they make a no-smoking poolroom.

It's a shame, good people and equipment, unfortunately it comes at a cost...carcinogens and nasty smell.

Time to find another room...thankfully most get a clue and don't allow smoking. ;)

I believe when this b@$^@Rd bought his membership he was aware of the policy regarding smoking in the establishment. I also believe he was aware of the dangers of second hand smoke. Yet, he chose to purchase a membership anyway. So, after deciding he couldn't handle the smoke he has chosen to launch a campaign against the establishment because of their smoking policy. Along with his passive aggressive, derogatory, and condescending comments, he has now threatened the establishment with legal action after twisting a comment by tronpocket in to something that tronpocket never said.

He is enjoying the attention he is getting from this thread! He gets to hide behind a made up name and pretend he is some intelligently witty guy and say stupid things which, in his own mind, he believes to be sharp. Now that he has put his threat into writing, his bluff should be called. Fusco's has done nothing wrong. Let him go to the state and make himself known. Then, instead of driving across town to play pool (or watch other people gamble) he will have to drive to another state. After all, businesses still have the right to refuse service to anyone.

Now, what needs to be done here is change the topic to Vinny's action or the color of the TV balls or anything other than what he wants to talk about. He needs to be ignored, and if he keeps on, banned from the forums. He can cry all he wants about how "it's a topic which needs to be discussed" but he knows exactly what he is doing and it is obnoxious harassment!

My ex-wife was the absolute worst passive aggressive person ever... I thought... until I read this thread! This guy is worse than any woman ever thought about being! He has crossed the line and it's time to IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE!!!

...the dangers of second hand smoke...[snip]..."it's a topic which needs to be discussed"...

Thank you for helping to underscore the dangers of second hand cigarette smoke. ;)

"Private Club" members are entitled to request (and receive) board minutes. Some "Private Clubs" publish the minutes on paper but most do so via a link.

Do you understand Fusco's The Club has a legal obligation to abide by the rules of the Pennsylvania Clean Air Act to keep their exempt status?

Here is the relevant section of the bill that was signed in to law:

http://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOCS/Legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&sessYr=2007&sessInd=0&billBody=S&billTyp=B&billNbr=0246&pn=2099

(1) A reputable group of individuals associated together as an organization for legitimate purposes of mutual benefit, entertainment, fellowship or lawful convenience which does all of the following:

(i) Regularly and exclusively occupies, as owner or lessee, a clubhouse or quarter for the use of its members.

(ii) Holds regular meetings; conducts its business through officers regularly elected; admits members by written application, investigation and ballot; and charges and collects dues from elected members.

(iii) Has been in continuous existence for a period of ten years as such an organization.

Interesting, I don't see Fusco's The Spot on the exemption list:
