Future Action Challenge Ideas

After all of your talk, i have got to see this guy play a top player... 1 pocket, 10 ball, 9 ball any of these games on a 9 foot...

Hell let larry play SVB in 10 ball, T-Rex in 1 hole, Schmidt in Straight pool, and Corey in 9 ball...

let's see what Larry Nevel is all about

He woud go 0-4, maybe beat corey in the 9 ball. But probably 0-4

lol, Jake this is funny because I actually "make it rain" everytime I go out with my friends in Athens now. I only do it for $50 or $100 but to watch all the sketchy girls run around the dance floor picking up $1 bills is unbelievable. The owner of the club we frequent has a stack of bills ready for me every time we go now. I think Southpaw has pictures or video of one of the times. I think Ive done it 7-8 times now. Its probably the dumbest thing anyone could possibly do, but it makes for good drunken stories. IMO

That alone sounds like it would make a trip to Athens worth it, just to see. Har. I haven't been up there in over a decade... :( Course, last time I ended up drinking with Stipe, so that's kinda hard to top.

Here's a goofy TAR idea. Have a pro/am scotch doubles thing (whatever game you choose). Get a couple of pros, then have some sort of contest/raffle/whatever for the two amateur spots. Get the Great Unwashed involved directly. :D

I'd like to see something with Larry Nevel involved. I'm going to talk to him about an all-around with Danny Harriman, and I know he's interested in playing SVB some. Of course, SVB has never been up to that challange in the past. He did however say that he plays the same as Larry but he breaks better. So, how about the first action challenge break contest? Something having to do with control and balls pocketed since we all know Larry pushes out hard then SVB breaks. LOL. Like I said in another thread though, I do respect SVB's game. Larry would also be a good choice for a one-pocket challenge. T-Rex, Joyner, Reyes, Daulton, Earl, pretty much anyone that plays one-pocket would be interesting to see Larry play. His one-pocket game is very underrated.
i agree 100 percent. i think larry is even money against chohan, schmidt, or harriman playing a 9/10 ball and 1 pocket challenge. i have never seen him play banks or 14.1

Keith vs Scotty

The banter alone in a match with Keith McCready and Scotty Townsend would be wort the price of admission.

Shane plays tune up matches

Shane is playing just like he sayes 9 hours a day. Shane should be playing one of the Mosconi cup members they are the best in the USA- Morris or Archer. Shane wins match up with Wilson. They played at (two stooges),mn. Shane was perfect Sportsman. Signed pool mag. and cueballs. What cue maker wants a deal with shane ? He wants a New Joss but Danny Janes won't give the world Champion a cue go figure- mark

I would like to see Earl the pearl play a race to 50 or 100 9 or 10 ball with CJ Wiley since CJ beat Earl at the US open last year, I think Earl will blow him out like SVB did Earl and Corey.

id like Alex P.and SVB that would be an awesome match

That is a good matchup, especially if it's 9 ball...

Alex has a reputation for playing well for the cash

How about a scotch doubles nine ball or eight ball match with Jay Helfert and Fatboy taking on Earl Strickland and Deno Andrews
