I go to Kansas City after this and hear about how we owe Gabe money and that he wont do anything with us because we don't pay. Does he pick up a phone and ask Chad or myself about his concerns ? . No. He goes around telling people we aired him. That really pisses me off.

The gambling match that was referenced took place at the Qlympics. It was a cluster from the beginning and went forever ending in a pro-rate. We don't do dvd's of matches that last 8 hours with no resolution. Not all of the money for that match was put up with us. The part that was got paid. That is a story all its own and Bartram was the one who ended up getting screwed by Gabe and Corey in Columbus.

Bottom line is this. We have paid Gabe more roylaties than what he was due. The dvd he was on is no longer for sale and will never be sold again. His image will never be used on any TAR materials. As far as I am concerned our business is done.

Gabe sure doesn't need TAR and we will survive without him so we can both just move on.

This is ludicrous for 58 bucks I think that is crap!
I took lessons from a pro !
I knew he was hurting for cash later due to health and the state of pool and sent him a hundred just to support our sport!
I also had a couple of exhibitions set up for him to make some cash We enjoyed and it cost me money so what!
Later he was selling DVD and books at different tournaments and events and I know there were people who bought them just
to help the players we enjoyed watching play!
I will tell you this Gabe was at the Expo show for Mueller booth and was the best to me and my wife!!!!

The point I am making is give him a break and stand up for his making a living in a rotten environment for pool today!

For the record, I am not the person that took this thread down the toilet, I am just the original poster that was curious about who won a second set. By the way nice playing Gabe on winning the second set.

No problem here Thecoats....I just got on here after akaTrigger's post about what she heard, to let people know that that is the same thing Gabe had said, because there were lots of questions and attacks on Gabe going around, and thought it might help answer them.

But it is surprising "they don't know the agreement". But there is more to it that has been omitted, but not my place to add it.

BUT...I will point out where JCIN said 'Gabe asked for money because he was broke'. Sure, he may have told them that, who knows, because of the issues, and hadn't heard anything in such a long time....but I've never known Gabe to be so broke in the past several years that $100 would be any issue. 'Broke' to Gabe is a bit different.

And I'm not offended by what anyone here said about Gabe...."a#$" or whatever. I'm sure he can be that way at times, (maybe he has good reason in some cases, maybe not) as most of us can be at times.

This is a forum....people have their opinions. And my opinion is I have to agree with Gabe, that many things could have been handled much more professionally from the get go, beginning a year or so, or whenever it all started. JMHO

Everyone can carry on with their opinions!:smile:

I spoke with Gabe tonight and gave him the remaining inventory of the dvd's we produced. There were some crossed wires as far as what what was said and what was assumed. Gabe was very polite and I think we resolved any issues.

As far as being "professional" we have made this TAR thing up as we go and try to do the best we can. If anyone has any issues with us that are business related all they have to do is contact us and we will do our best to make it right.

I remember when Gabe was on TAR doing some commentary of 1p and I found him to be quite good. He often discussed when a player was making the wrong shot and why and then later the problems he brought up materialized later.

This infighting between pool players, the guys marketing pool, and the railbirds who feel it necessary to give their opinion without knowing the facts is a snapshot of pool's sad state in the USA. :frown:

Im getting more and more down on pool everyday. bleh

For sure. Someone mentioned Gabe vs. T-Rex; that would be a great 1p matchup IMO. I'd also like to see Gabe vs. Schmidt and/or Harriman @ 10-ball.

well I have never had any dealing with Gabe, but I have had a few with TAR. I personally do not know Justin or Chad and I have never even met either of them in person but one thing I know for sure is that these guys are two of the most stand up guys I have ever dealt with. I am 100% sure that they would not steal anything from anyone ever! They will give someone a refund if they are not happy for any reasons and with no questions asked. They respond to all emails almost the same day and give out their personal phone numbers and you can call them 24hrs a day if you have any problems. TAR has the best customer service I have ever seen. They are old school and that is very rare to find these days. If anyone thinks these guys are making money then you need to have your head examined. They are doing what they do because they love it and hope the pool community embraces it and maybe they can make a little $$ too. Gabe should have just called them to resolve his issue instead of running his mouth to other people. That is how a true Professional would have handled it. TAR you guys are the best! Thanks for what you guys do!:thumbup:
