Walter's usual backer? I watched Walter give away a match with Darren at Rumrunner's in March. Couldn't believe he let Walter get drunk on his dollar while gambling! Oh well, a fool and his....... Thanks for the heads up.

Sounds like my old buddy Tim. A guy came in the poolroom one time and had a brown paper bag full of money and threw it on the table and wanted to gamble. So Tim went to his car and came back with a freakin 30-gal trash bag full of money and threw it on the table and said......ok i'll gamble.

Been out last 2 nights until 5am and 3am. Not much happening. The Scooter show was kinda funny at 3am(arguing about the order they were playing scotch 1P or something, I walked up on it and don’t know the exact details). Still funny to watch him. But I didn’t have a bet down, nothing else to watch-went to bed early. Haven’t bet 25¢ since I’ve been here.
The casino was packed at 3am, which explains the lack of action. They will get the absolute worst of it in the casino and get robbed all night long, yet nut hunt in pool to the point that nobody plays. Think we aren’t doomed?
Saw a few $1k to $2k 9B sets yesterday while talking with friends on the rail, that was fun.
The food crisis here is still a real thing, but it’s not as bad as previous years. But it’s still a crisis.
I hope there’s something tonight.

That’s crazy. Never snowed when I lived in Long Beach that I can ever remember. That has to be a record.
I remember working outdoors near Baton Rouge when the temperature was in single digits twice several years apart. The conditions weren't right for snow though. I also remember enough snow to stick on the ground in Baton Rouge on April 21st. We have always been able to get strange weather. Usually I holed up in a pool hall or bar. I drove ten miles through the snow to drink fancy brandy with a barmaid named Brandy with snow on the highway but not in tire lanes. Seemed like the thing to do!
A friend's wife asked me why we went to the bar and started drinking at six AM if we rained out. I told her it was one of the laws of petro-chem construction. You rain out, you stop at the first bar even if you never started work.
The mention of who is liable reminds me of working a job in Corpus Christi. First day naturally my cajun buddy and I stop at the first bar to drink a beer or two before trying to find a place to stay. We grab a couple beers for the road and I head out the door. Halfway through the door somebody grabs me from behind with both hands and pullls hard! I don't know anybody else in Corpus so I'm debating taking the high line or low line with my swing when the bartender hollers, "Stop, they will arrest both of us if you step out of the door with that beer!" I should have headed back to Louisiana right then!

The guy made himself a victim.The incident I saw yesterday shook me up and I left the place while the drama was still going on. I was saddend to see an intoxicated man taken advantage of. I am not mentioning the name of this player and many regulars to the cue club in Las Vegas know the name of this individual. He is a rich man and a very strong player both in one pocket and 9 ball and usually others negotiate with him for spot.He says that money is nothing for him and it is only 00000s to him.After 2 weeks he returned to the pool room and his presence was immediately made known by his loud utterences on top of his voice.he started with his usual shouts of profanity including telling the people to s.. his....d etc.He had 4 men and one women accompany and I later found out that he met them in a local bar and brought them with him. I do not think that he knows that they are gangsters.In the begining it was amusing to listen to his utterances on top of his voice with now and then roaring like a Lion, howling like a keyote etc.The show began and the people started gathering around the table 7 & 8.There were nearly 25 sweaters around.Everybody knows it is a pay day to everybody and some will go home with thousands of $.There was a pool league tournament was also going on there that time. There was lot of woofing and lots of hundred dollar bills thrown on the table and lots of debates,arguments between the challengers and this rich man.The people that came in with this rich man were west side gangsters ' Bloods ' and except I and my friend no one in the room knows that those guys are ' Bloods'. One guy entered into flipping the coin contest with the rich man and this guy quickly won three flips in a row for huge amount and then left the place to return later.After 2-3 hours woofing,profanity finally one guy matched uo to play one pocket game race to three.The rich man gave the guy a spot 10-7.The rich man was staggering and few times fell on the next table.several time when it was his turn to shoot he left the cue on the table stands there leaning on the table and sleeps for 30 seconds to a minute and then wakes up and shoots .He then asks the rail for side bets of 1000 $.The story goes on.I could not take it and left the place.
IN MY OPINION ,taking the money from totally intoxicated person is like having sex with a 5 year old child or with a dead person.It is wrong.
I also BELIEVE that gambling with a minor can and will be construed as 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor'.It is wrong.

He's kinda lucky they really didn't rob him and hurt him physically. There's a dark world out there that doesn't care if he sees tomorrow.
If a grown mam gets that drunk....it's on him if he runs his mouth and loses his money. I'd be right there betting against him.
If he loses like that, he is a sucker.
Better players can always give the outstanding win in the long run. He's an idiot if he hasn't figured that out.
