Gambling updates at this year's Open.

Thanks much keep it coming. I love it, i hope you go on a stream while walking around with video camera in hand, so we can live the moment..maybe one day

Glad the thread is back on track, in spite of one feeble attempt to turn it into another pi$$ing match. Nice job in not taking the bait Jam!

Thanks for the updates IE.. It's fun to hear for those of us that can't be there!

There was no bait. Im not trying to start trouble or derail a thread, just pointing out the obvious.

i herd kieth bennet n svb played last night for 1000 not sure of the race but kieth was getting the 8 n 9 playing ten ball

Our man on the scene said Justin Hall got down with John Morra in a one-hole match. Justin Hall came out on top.

My guess is that John is going to want morra that action, by racing to the hall, justin time. :p

Now, there was a time when you loved me so. I could have been wrong, but now you needed to know. How do you like ME now?

Also, I heard it through the grapevine that Ronnie Wiseman caught a straggler for a little over a dime.

This stranger walks up to him, asked to play a race to 9 playing 9-ball, proceeded to lose three sets in a row, paid him off, and left just about as quickly as he came.

Now it takes a wiseman to ronnie-over a straggler for a little over a dime, especially in such a quick fashion! :p

Thank you very much for all the info Curtis, iam sure everyone here is appreciateing the extra effort you r puting in ,so we all here at az has some idea what is happening at the open,Curtis how long r u staying at the open and have u matched up there at all, since u been there, thanks again, richie!
I plan to be here all week.
I normally do not play pool when I am here...there is simply too much to watch and I don't want to miss seeing world champions gamble because I decided to play cheap sets, which I can do anytime.

Hmm, where's my morning action update? Must have been busy last night as our man on the scene, Curtis, hasn't posted yet! ;)

Thanks for the words on this thread directed at me, the good and not so good.

There is joy in life every day. When you get older, you deal with time, constant time, and it becomes more acute, that preciousness of time. Don't look for the bad company in life; look for the good company of people, people who tell the truth and people who do good things.

OK, I finally woke up!

Last night (or early this morning) Shane matched up with Keith Bennett.

It was a race to 17 for $1,000.
Keith got the 8-out in 10B.
He won 17-15. They got done around 4:30 AM.

Great pool!

English, keep up the reports. You are doing great. Please let us know which players get mad at each other and for what. :p j/k. We love the action reports.

I didn't read Jennie's post as Cleary read it. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding of what she was saying.

Anyway, this is a GREAT thread, let's stay on track.

What happened to those two nits, SVB and Lee Van?:D:D:D
I swear Joey, you're like a little old lady at church that loves to gossip...:)

I'll keep them coming as long as I can.

Stop trying to turn me into the E! True Hollywood Storyteller...:)
