Played him, beat him in the seventies.
Was it on a bar table? You must have played pretty good because I played him on a bar table and big table and I didn't win and I didn't play half bad back then myself. I forgot, when we played on the big table I agreed to play with the big bar ball that turned out to be my mistake.

On the big table but my bar table was even a better game.
In the picture that's him in the back row with the white tee shirt and blue logo.

A lot of good or very good players in that picture.
Brings back a lot of memories..

This is the group of guys and some other strong players that was all over the south playing when I was just starting..

It was awesome watching the tournaments but even better watching the woofing and action!

Some local flavor in that picture too not just the southern big dogs.

Great pic

Standing next to a very young Johnny Archer, with Louie Lemke on the other side of him. I can name about half of these guys.

I'm only sure of six of them. Nice to see a pic of Al O'Rear ("Alley Oop").

Can you post the names of those that you know?

Played that barbox quite sporty. Heard he was in Charlotte.

Yeah... He's lived here i Charlotte for many years... Selling cars and I'm sure many other professions. Never really plays pool anymore...but I hear he gets out every couple of years.
