not only has he made it to the final four, he just took down Alex P. this morning 11-7. congrats Jessie! he plays Sparky Ferrell for the hot seat.

oh and Van Boening was knocked out by Hennessee. the matches are Hennessee and Martinez, Pagulayan and Nevel. looks like all of the monsters have to knock each other out to get back to the final round.

Yea Mike i wondered how Jessie was allowed in that tournament, along with Brian Tyler. I wouldnt classify anyone that makes a living playing pool an amateur. JMO

I have Rafael and Alex still in the hunt. I was hoping they would both win their winner's side matches, but as long as Nevel doesn't win it all I have a draw.

Also, find me anywhere on any list that shows Jesse ever winning an open event which automatically disqualifies him from the Viking Amateur tour.. I have not been able to find one thus far.


Unfortunately for a few players we are updating the rules next month which will effect many players as per their participation on the Amateur Tour. And unfortunately for Jess our new standard will affect him.

I think players like Jessie should be allowed to win an event first before being barred. If he put the time & effort in to get better, then their should be some payoff.
