Gold Crown 4 pocket size and angle? Including sides!?!

I'm trying to find out what the original pocket sizes and angles are for a Gold Crown 4, can anybody help me out? I've managed to find these on the TDF thread but obviously it doesn't mention side pockets

mfinkelstein3 - 9':1.00, 5 1/8":0.88, 7/8":1.03, 1 1/2": 0.97 - 0.88 (GC III)
StraightPoolIU - 9':1.00, 4 7/8":0.91, 3/4":1.02, 1 1/4":0.95 - 0.88 (GC I)

So out of them 2 examples the corners are 5 1/8 and 4 7/8". What size would the side pocket be in relation to each of them? And what angle/ mouth throat difference for the sides?

Before anyone asks I do want the original size and I don't want to tighten it up right now. I'm from the UK so I can only get snooker table fitters to put the new cushions on when my table arrives tomorrow. They probably don't know the exact size so I could really do with some input please

And I'll add that I have serious doubts the GC pockets were cut with any measureable degree of concern for accurate/ consistent angles.

I've just read that side pockets are always 1/2 inch bigger than corner pockets.
Now I just need to find out if a Gold Crown 4 is 5 1/8 or 4 7/8" in the corners. I know they have the same difficulty because of the angle difference but how do you think each one plays? Rail shots easier on 4 7/8 because of angle and other shots easier on 5 1/8" because bigger pocket?

Sean Hallett...It makes no difference!

1) Get table (already done).

2) Get table set up by a competent mechanic (happening soon).

3) Play on table...preferably for several hours, or at least several days.

4) Enjoy yourself!

You have a good table. Quit worrying about minutia and just play! Aim for the middle of the pocket, and the ball will go in (provided you hit the correct speed).

The problem is that i'm not going to get a mechanic where I am who understands US tables. They are really good snooker table fitters but they are relaying on me for pocket sizes and angles etc. I'm just not sure which of them 2 examples would normally be found on a Gold Crown 4?

Standard GC's are almost always 4&3/4" and tournament is 4.5" corners. Again, put this in the "Ask a Mechanic" section here on AZ. You'll get more/quicker answers.

I've never seen a GC that was not modified being that tight. 5" to 5 1/8" is more like it.

To the OP, if you go to my table specs on the TDF page, I have an original GC4, with the original pockets. I got it from a private owner, it was never inside a pool room, and only had 2 recloths before I bought it. So the measurements on mine is probably pretty good.

Thanks for the info.

For the pocket angles, use 102 degrees for the sides and 141 degrees for the corners.

Stock GC4 has 5" corner pockets and 5 1/2" sides.

That is really helpful! I wasn't sure what version it was but I will copy them specs
