Gold Membership *OR* Kamui Chalk? - I Can't Decide . . .

I get a lot of enjoyment spending time reading and interacting here on az and so I think it would be a good thing to support the site that Mike & Jerry have made possible for all of us pool nuts.

That said, I am a shallow and greedy person who could use that money to get a piece of kamui chalk which I never have tried. I am considering the fact that I really don't miscue that much using master chalk but I like gadgets and new stuff and the ability to show these things off at pool halls so everyone thinks I'm very cool.

So, you see, therein lies my dilemma.

Look really cool at the pool hall showing off my expensive new chalk as I turn my back on two visionary guys who have made this site so much fun...

OR

pony up the dough for a GOLD membership and run the risk of coming across as very ordinary at the pool hall...

damnit this is a hard one.

I wish I could afford both.

anyone have either a used chalk or a used membership they're looking to get rid of?

nevermind, on top of it all I'm a germaphobe so used chalk is not an option.

Any other ideas out there?

I need to make a decision by 4 pm est.

EDIT: Well, it looks like I decided.

best,
brian kc

I'm biting my tong so hard it's bleeding :D

I think your answer is in your self description and wether or not you're at peace with that.;)

Brian..You can have it all.

Go gold.

Then....snag a piece of chalk when the other cool guys aren't looking.

Go for the gold and then some Kamui chalk should eventually come up in the monthly GOLD member giveaway and hopefully you will win that.

I went Gold just today. It was a long time coming that I financially support this great site. Plus, they also have some great giveaways. Leave the chalk, take the gold

well, there is the appealing angle that along with becoming a gold member comes the chance to win prizes and if I were lucky enough to win something the very first month, then az'ers would be thinking, "hey, that kickin' chicken has to have some kind of inside connections" and that, in and of itself reeks coolness - virtual coolness, that is.

And everyone knows virtual coolness gives live coolness the orange crush.

I'm still not sure which way I'll go but I'm leaning.

thanks guys for the comments thus far.

any other input/considerations.

I'd hate to think I might miss something before making a big-ticket purchase.

best,

Baby steps. You went from bronze (I assume) to silver. The next logical step is to go gold. Go from Master chalk to Blue Diamond.....then to Kamui

I was going to mention, sell me that hot boat and you will be able to afford both.

That thing probably scares all the fish for 10 miles anyway. Thats why you can't ever find any.

Go with a Gold and I will send you my used piece of Kamui. I have to find it first. Its in one of my jacket pockets. I seldom use it.

As an alternative you could donate the $30 to Chalk for the World.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of pool players who have no chalk. The young, the elderly, these are the people that society has forgotten. One of them might be a future champion...but we'll never know because they miscued on the money ball...all because they couldn't afford chalk.

Make your donation today! Don't let another player go another day without chalk!
