Goldenwest Billiards Mfg, Portland, OR.

As I said when you were here dealing with Rob.... "NOBODY f**ks with the Cobra!"

Thank you, Glen, for being my champion!

Katie Girl I would like to say you don't know how lucky you were to have Glen work on your table....but after reading this nightmare I would say you do know.

In fact we all know what Glen stands for (or won't stand for)and he is truly one of a kind.

Wait to go Cobra:cool:.

Not to pile on the well deserved love fest..but Glen...you did the right thing again. Good work. You are a class act.

Just something to think about if you're planning on buying a Golden West pool table for one of your Christmas presents this year;)

Here we go again..............Feb Post.................

Who made you read this post in the first place? Don't like what I post, don't read what I post, it's that simple! The Delmo post is older than this one, why didn't you post this same comment in that thread, or is it because you just like being an assholeeee! Others read these posts besides you ya know;)

I had a Golden West once & the table surface was granite. That were actually warped when I got the table (used). I had to turn the slates over & let them lay flat for one year. Their own weight actual straightened them out. It was a great 4.5 X 9 table, with 6 legs.

I hear ya, Golden West can build some nice lower cost tables if they want to, but they still need to man up as to how they do things sometimes. I've talked to a lot of other table mechanic's that have had the same problem with the rail bolt holes not being where they're suppose to be, to the point of having to drill new rail bolt holes to get the rails to bolt down. Used is always a gamble with any table ever built, that it's going to be right in the first place, after someone else has been working on the table(s). But NEW, and straight from the factory 2 miles away, and with the factory installers,....no excuse in my book is acceptable for this kind of work, especially the deniability of any wrong doings after it was brought to Rob's attention directly, THAT really pisses me off, even still now when I think about it.

Glen

You're so cute, Mr RKC. That table has not played like a Golden West since the day you laid hands on it. I don't know if you can feel the loving vibes in the air, but I send a prayer of appreciation, gratitude and affection your way every single day when I flip on the table light and pick up my stick. Patricia and I still talk about you often while we're playing, about how much we appreciate you and the work of art you created in the center of our billiards room.

And Patricia is still talking about the toilet paper tax..... Go figure.

Hugs to you!!!

Like you told me before, I must be an apa 3.............

What business is it of yours what I post in my threads anyway? Why should you care if I bring forward a thread I started in the past? Why are you even concerned about what I do, or post, is it any of your business?

Because it's not what you say, it's How you say it, that's all.:poke:

I would like to thank Black-Balled for sending me over to this post. I have been looking for table and was considering a Golden west. It is so hard for someone just getting into pool. The websites make the tables look so nice and for the price seems like a dream come true. Made in America should be a plus, unfortunately too many people take advantage of that. Thank you for keeping me from making a mistake. Wish someone in the industry could do a review of all mfg companies or somehow rank the quality of the tables.

Regards, Banikane

Diamond is located in Indiana. Their products are serviced by some of the best people in the industry, as well as being engineered for pool players by pool players. The last time there was a tournament based on Golden West tables was probably at somebody's house. Diamonds are the new standard for tournament play. Find a used one and it'll be worth it in the long run.

I live probably 3 miles from Golden West here in Portland.. how they handled themselves with one transaction spoke loud and clear.. doesn't help that I've heard other subpar things about them. You reap what you sew, Golden West.

These are two completely different Animals. Home marketed pool tables and good commercial tables are not the same. I would think Brostoskis's equipment is ok and similar to his competitior, but like Ivan Lee of Simonis said, you gotta have a good table mechanic, if not, its all bad. So the issues with homeowners and issues with ''players'' or wannabes, is Different, and will Always be, till the sport is like the PGA, even so this issue will ''still'' be there.
