I thought it was a bad hit . You barely nicked the 1 ball in my opinion. Good shooting by the both of you !

ok i deleted it because in discussing it with my opponent, we concluded the object ball thinned off the other ball before it went four rails to score.

so yeah i figured it was a bad hit

Here's a good one. Daryl Peach vs Francisco Bustamante WPC 07, 1/4 finals.

The only people that saw it as a good hit was Busty and the partisan Manila crowd. I don't think this event was held in a shopping mall either???

Shopping Malls are great places for Pool Tournaments. Overhead viewing, exposure to the Public and there's food!
We should do this in America!
Might bring in new people in to play pool.

Or better yet.......How about a Trick Shot Show to Wow the Masses?
Something like....
Dr. Billiards Traveling Trick Shot Show featuring Venom!
Coming to a Mall near you!

It's not a bad hit. It's just not a good bank and the ball spots.

But, you already knew that. Other posters might be confused since it didn't jump out at me from the posts that this was bank pool. You probably mentioned it in the deleted post.

Yep. He clearly grazed the one before his intended ball. Nice table, btw.

I don't think so. But it doesn't matter.

The 1-ball moved left. That tells me the 7-ball kissed off the 1-ball prior to its 4-rail path That means the bank wasn't clean, and by the rules of Bank Pool, the 4-railer doesn't count, and the 7- ball spots.

Even if he hit the one ball first, it doesn't matter. The bank would still be no good. No penalty for not hitting the nominated ball first in Bank Pool.

And "he" was David Uwate shooting that shot.

To me it looks like he hit the banked ball first very slightly on the left side with slight follow (almost stun). The cue ball came off the banked ball, nudged the other ball, followed forward to the cushion and out a little. Or maybe I'm seeing things wrong.
