Thanks everyone! I stayed up all night last night since I had a lot of work to finish before I took off and didn't doze very long on the plane. After renting the car, checking in, and eating dinner, we went to Capone's to practice and just got back.

We will be playing on the Gold Crowns, not the Diamonds. They are fast, but not too fast. The pockets are perfect, not too small, and not too big. ;)

Somehow, I hurt my good leg today as soon as I walked in. I hope it is better by tomorrow, but I had to hobble around the table and it got tiring. Had a slow start, but then got a table by myself and started shooting better.

The bad part is that I have grown accustomed to a smoke-free environment and the smoke was thick in the room. My eyes started watering right away. My lungs burned. I brought some nice clothes and I really don't even want to wear them there. :(

I have to go shower the odor out of my hair! Thanks for the good kuck wishes. ;)

Edit: Guess who was on my flight? Jesse Jackson! I was on the escalator on the stair right behind him. :cool:

glad to hear the tourny is on Gold Crowns, but the smoke issue does not sound like fun - it is tough to play in a pool room that is extremely smokey :( but, such is the game at times......
